Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Console
There are two things that could cause this problem if none of the games work, either the laser has died or the laser lense is dirty. First thing I would try is cleaning the lense. You can try the easy route first by using a can of air, ejecting the tray and blowing the air into the drive. The pressure is strong so you want to hold it at least 3 to 4" away from the opening.
If that doesn't work or only works temporarily you can take the system apart, take the disc drive out and open it. Then clean the laser with a q-tip and rubbing alcohol. Don't press hard on the lense though you may scratch it. The lense should be crystal clear when clean.
Last option is taking the laser out completely and replacing it. Costs around $10 for pretty much all of the different lasers they used in the systems.
For taking the system apart you can either watch a youtube video on it or I can walk you through it. You will need a 1.4mm flathead, T-8, and a T-10 torx bit.
Best of luck!
