If you wire runs, then your problem is the power line, check first that you have in hook up to the psotive (+) side of the power source/machine. The spool guns is just a wire feeder, your heat comes from the power source.

Code help-3 Indicates that the gun trigger was pulled and held during power up. Release gun trigger and clear fault condition. Also, this display can Indicate no open circuit voltage detected when gun trigger is pulled and no arc detected within 3 seconds, this means that the trigger was held without any metal contact. The machine will shut down in order to avoit the wire to continue to run freely.
Turn on the machine without pressing the trigger on the gun. Then increase to the max the wire speed. Then turn off the machine. Press the trigger after the machine was turn off, then without releasing the trigger, turn on the machine and release the trigger after 2 seconds. That will take care of it.
