I replaced the tank with a full tank and the regulator froze with a white coat of frost and the burners made singing noises. I replaced the regulator with a new one and the same thing happened. I put the old almost empty tank back on and again the same thing happened.
Are you sure that you replaced it with the correct size regulator, Another thing might be the orifaces are restricted in the burner valves. The only way to check this would be with a manometer that reads in water coloumn. You also may have a burner problem if its a single burner. One thing you might do is take apart the burner(s) and blow them out with compressed air including the burner valves. But not the regulator this may damage the diaphgram.
This can happen when an excessive amount of propane gas is used or when if the tank you are using is not sitting upright, therefore allowing liquid propane to exit the tank through the regulator.

I have a Genesis s310 stainless grill. I've had it for a few years. The burners don't always produce a high flame. I use a full tank of propane and the burners look clean. It acts like it's low on fuel . The first burner produces a low flame when turned to full on. The others will barely light up. What should I check?
