Intel Rapid Technology off line hard drive?

Open the computer and check cables. 0 is the 1st drive and usually the primary. Then login into BIOS and verify the drive is listed there. It must be.
Crashing may be a sign of hardware failure, but fix the HD problem 1st. Then run chkdsk c: /f/r C being the drive letter from the command prompt.

SATA Primary hard disk drive failure

Sounds like your hard drive has failed and will need to be replaced. You will need to make sure you have all the recovery cd/dvds Dell sent with the system; or you created when you got the system. The new hard drive will be completely blank, so you will have to install the OS, drivers, and other software from these CD/DVDs.

Hope this helps

If your hard drive has failed a) you need a new one, b) you will have to reinstall the Windows system but c) you will have lost anything you stored on the computer. This is why we encourage people to have backup systems.

Boot failure asus a7v 133 motherboard installed a pci sata raid

Hi whistler1410, you need to enter your bios menu. Press the delete key every couple of seconds to load the bios menu.

Once in the bios (See instructions located at the bottom of the menu, to help you move about).
You should see all connected drives at the main menu.
This includes the SATA writer & hard disk drives.
Go to the bios menu, BOOT.
SATA drive even DVD drives are seen by the bios as a master drive. So within the BOOT menu go to "Boot device priority".
The boot priority should read as follows.

First boot device [Floppy disk drive] (If one is connected)
Second boot device [Your SATA DVD writer]
Third boot device [Your primary hard disk drive] (The drive with windows loaded on it).
If you do not have a floppy disk drive than make the first boot device your DVD writer.
Save the bios & exit the bios. You should not receive "boot disk error message anymore".

Run into a problem, post here.
Good luck whistler1410!

Computer will not load windows

The message 'Diskette drive 0 seek failure.' is saying that there is any error trying to read 'drive 0'. As you can see from the list, drive 0 is 'ST3250820AS . 3 . ANG'. That is your hard drive that stores all of your information. Your other drive that's coming up is 'drive 1' or 'SATA 1' and that is your DVD/CD-RW. So basically your hard drive can't be read and therefore the PC can't be started. If there is data that you need on the PC I would advise contacting either a local PC shop to try and get your data recovered and put onto a new hard drive if they find that the drive is faulty. If you don't have any data on there that is essential, try reinstalling the operating system by starting up the PC with your recovery disk or operating system disk and following the directions. Make sure you read the instructions properly to insure that you install properly.
