SOURCE: I just bought a cooling

Hi Andries, I would suggest to try on different usb ports, but you've already did on two laptops and i don't think possible all of their ports are not working.
I can say that the N110 is often thought not to be working because it's really really quiet and as for keeping low consumption levels the fan doesn't move a big deal of air, so it may seems switched off also if it's working. Anyways, if you double check and see it's completely off don't waste your time (also because there are NO switches on it, it's supposed to work instantly when you plug it) the only thing you can do is to bring it back to your retailer and get a new one or ask for a refund. first check the connetions at both ends of your cooling pad make sure the connection into your laptop is securely seated and its not faulty

click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll down universal serial bus controllers you could see a yellow question mark?

right click to reinstall drivers

if you can see your usb pad but its not working

ports(com&lpt)right click update driver if this fails to fix the problem

check the USB leads that attach to the motherboard usually red white green black make sure they are securely seated and have no dust build up on them dust will cause static and a lot of unforeseen problems for a computer and its parts

click start control panel administrive tools ,computer management ,device manager look through all of your devices if you see a yellow question mark?or exclamation mark ! or red x

How do I disassemble my logitech cooling pad for cleaning?

Hi, I just did clean my logitech pad without any sratch. Here is how I did dissemble it.
There are 10 screws. 3 at the back of the pad, which can be removed very easy. Another 7 are under the shiny plastic part with whole for the airflow in front of the pad. It is easy to remove it. I used a wrapping ribbon (the ordinary for wrapping presents) and put it through the wholes in the top middle part of the cover, in the way you end up holding both ends of the ribbon. And gently pull the cover apart of the pad. It goes quite easy. Then remove the 7 screws (2 are hidden in the wholes with the white plastics)...and you can start cleaning. I did not remove the fen part itself. Its easy to clean it with an old toothbrush.
I hope this helps.

The laptop is overheating and the fan is extremely loud. should i return it?

Hello
Are you keeping it on your lap? on a flat hard surface? or what? Most people use a laptop cooling pad. I do. The one I use is a logitech one and it works great.
Here it is on amazon.com: http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Notebook-Cooling-Green-Accent/dp/B001U3ZH7W/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1296929244&sr=8-1
If that does not work then you can contact lenovo at the number listed for your country below: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-68585
or you can return it to the place you bought it if its within the time limit and you have a receipt. Most likely tho it just needs a cooling pad so it can breathe and get some air.

Seems that your laptop's USB ports are not providing enough power to the cooling pad. This could be due to you connecting too many USB peripherals to your laptop. Test if you can get the cooling pad to work by disconnecting all other USB devices.
As a permanent fix, you can buy an active USB hub (one powered by external power source) & connect your cooling pad to it.

Spare feet for logitech ex110

Suggest anyone who has this problem pick up a pair of 'laptop legs'. They're designed to prop up laptops to improve cooling, but they do the trick.

My logitech game pad shifts my mouse pointer erratically

Hi, This seems to be a USB bandwith issue, do you have printers, scanners, external HDD connected to your computer ? If yes please unplug them and see if it works better. If not, try only to unplug the Dual action, and see, if it stops behave this way, then you might want to uninstall LGS and reinstall it.
Thanks and have a nice day J -
