Hi,
Yes!!! You can run it on Propane with the installation of an LP or Propane kit...

The best way to get the kit is to check on the Kenmore (Sears) website... look up parts for your dryer and then find the conversion kit for your dryer...

You can also call Sears Tech. support and they can find and order for you the appropriate kit...

You will need to have the model number and maybe the serial number of your dryer when you call...

How do you convert to propane a kenmore elite model # 79671622310

You have to get the conversion kit. Mostly the burner gas nozzels has to be changed. Propane has a higher BTU value than natural gas. So the burner nozzle has to be smaller with propane.

You have to have the right nozzle kit for your dryer. Normally the propane nozzle kit comes with the new dryer. It is attached in a plastic seethrough bag and attached somewhere in the back of dryer.

Also you have to adjust the air opening in the burner for propane. Propane need more air than natural gas to burn properly. If you buy the conversion kit or find the conversion kit in the back of your unit, it will clearly give instructions how to do it.

How do i convert gas dryer to propane kenmore elite

kenmore has instructions along with the correct orfices you need to burn propane the only difference between gas and propane orfices is the hole size in the center of the orfices and there is very little difference in size propane is smaller hole because the pressure difference between natural gas low pressure proppane higher pressure

On a model 62841, how do you switch from propane to natural gas

Natural gas usually runs on 4 ounces of gas pressure. It is regulated at your gas meter. If you had an orifice in your propane line all you should need to do is remove it.(inside a connector by the dryer intake for gas) Just make sure you look at the back plate of your dryer or user manual and check the pressure rating.

Gas dryer wont heat

Look for air restrictions and clean that up if any. Then inspect the dryer for failed components: e37536f.jpge82d1d0.jpg05795e2.jpg718f5ff.jpg

I DO NOT HAVE NATURAL GAS AVAILAABLE WHERE I LIVE/

You can order an LP conversion kit to change it over to propane. Most kits cost between 30 and 60 dollars, and require you to take the drum out of the dryer to access the gas valve for the change over.

Kenmore gas dryer works but no heat, model# 110.20702990.

make sure the exhaust vent is not plugged. shut gas off, disconnect hose, start dryer. stop and reconnect hose turn gas back on and try again.
also a propane dryer can work on on natural gas but it is very dangerous to run a natural gas dryer on propane because the orfice is too big.

Kenmore Series 70 Gas Dryer not getting hot enough

The first thought I have is about the gas supply. If you had natural gas at the old house and now have propane or visa versa you need to change the orifices in the dryer as gas flow is different. Also, if the gas line some how got a kink in it when the dryer was being installed that too would restrict the flow of gas.
