Hello there

From what you have said it sounds like you have the SYNC ERROR

The main causes are Hardware failure, overheating or wear & tear.

You may need to perform simple maintenance, clean or in some cases adjust settings.

To get the best advice on where to start I recommend a Wii Repair Guide , From this you can fix the problem at home and avoid any large repair bills. Its easier than it sounds when you have help from the guide.

The other solution would be to send the console off to Nintendo, This is free if your still in warranty. If your console is out of warranty then the usual price of repair is $90

Glad I could Help!

Good Luck & Best Regards

Pete

No comunacation with remote

Try to resync your Nintendo Wii remote by removing the battery cover on the back and by pressing the red 'SYNC' button. Then afterwards press the SYNC button on the Wii console. If these steps and tips do not work, remove the batteries of the Wii Remote and leave them out for at least 5 minutes. Reinsert the batteries into the controller and try to sync the Wii Remote again. It could also mean that the batteries have stop working and need to be replaced.

My handsets wont sincronise with the system, I have fitted new batteries

Follow this procedure:
1. Turn the Wii console on and wait until the "Health & Safety" screen appears (don't press A).
2. Open the SD Card slot cover on the front of the Wii console, just below the disc drive, and press and hold the red SYNC button for 15 seconds. This will clear all synced Wii Remotes from the console.
3. Resync the Wii Remote by removing the battery cover and pressing the red "SYNC" button. Do this for all Wii Remotes you wish to use, and test for proper response.
4. If the steps above do not work, remove the batteries of the Wii Remote and leave them out for at least 2 or 3 minutes. Reinsert the batteries and sync the Wii Remote again. Test for proper response.
If after removing the batteries for several minutes, and resyncing the Wii Remote, your still unable to get the Wii Remotes to work, try syncing another Wii Remote if available.
* If another Wii Remote works, then your previous Wii Remote will need to be repaired.
* If multiple Wii Remotes do not work, or you only have one Wii Remote, a repair of the Wii console is necessary.

Remote dont work. lights just flash. tried to sync did not work. Bought a new remote and went to sync it now it is doing the same thing the other remote did> Any suggesions?

Basic Question: Did you set up the sensor bar?

I'm assuming you follow the instructions to plug in the Wii and to attach the sensor bar to the console and position the sensor bar so it is either below or above the television.

The Wii remote flashes (more specifically the bottom row of four lights that indicate which player each remote belong to flashes) when a button is pushed on the control while the Wii is off.

If the Wii is on and simply sleeping (as evident by a blinking yellow light on the power button on the console) pushing the power button the control should turn on both the console and the remote. Be sure to aim the remote at the console when "waking" the Wii up and at the sensor bar once the Wii Menu loads. The remotes automatically turn off with lack of interaction.

To recap: Your remotes sound to be working fine. I would assume it might be a problem with the interaction between your console and the remotes or the setup of the console. The Wii Information Guide has pictures and pretty clear connection instructions that should help fix your problem.

If everything is set up correctly as per the instructions and your system still does not interact your sensor bar may be faulty or your console as I believe you're remotes work fine.

Make Wii remote#2 remote#1!

You need to sync it . . . under the flap on the console where you insert memory cards, there is a red sync button, press that on the console, then on the remote, under the battery cover, there is also a red sync button, press that just after you done it on the console and it should sync.

Remote stopped working/

Did you do a normal synchronize of the Wii Remote with the console (push the red button on the console and push the red button in the remote's battery compartment)?
