Window shows "Printer Error".

Window shows "Printer Error". Just changed an ink cartridge. Printer now makes scraping noise, then stops. All lights on console are on. Epson Stylus CX7000F Series all-in-one. Tried shutting unit off, then on again. Seems like it will start to work, then scraping noise and no movement afterward. Help! s/n JQHV051854 Purchased 7/25/07

Seems there is a problem in the printer head possibly, or the motor its most likely causeing the sound.

Best shot is to take it to warranty repairs if you still have it, one year? about to run out, you need to hurry on that.

First thing to do is disconnect the printer from the power source and do a hard reset

    before that even, remove the cartridge and try it reinstalling it again,. It may not have seated correctly the first time. check it does not have tape across the printhead still as well :)

    if none of these suggestions work for you, then the unit has developed a fault, and will require some service. Take it back to where you purchased it from for warranty service, or phone them and they will provide you with a nominated repair service contact near to you.

For resolving the error first properly check the paper jam bcoz any small paper also make the error see the printer drum side therefore you find any paper then remove that one, second check your printer cartridge ink level if low level then change the cartridge third check the you have properly close the all door of printer....

Steps:
1) With the printer powered off but connected to a power source, press the Power button while pressing and holding
the Stop/ Reset button.
2) When the Power LED is lit, press the Stop/Reset button two times while pressing and holding the Power button.
3) When releasing the Power button and the Stop / Reset button (regardless of order), the printer will move into a
service mode. (Waiting formenu selection)
4) When the LED lights in green, press the Stop/Reset button the specified number of time(s) according to the
function listed in the table below.(Each time the Stop/Reset button is pressed, the LED
lights alternately in
orange and green, starting with orange.)

My P2015 "attention" light is


Hve you tried to replace the ink cartridge or take it out and then place it back in? Also you may want to power cycle the printer with the cartridges out. Take out the ink cartridges, turn the power off with them out, unplug the power cord from the back once all noise has stopped and the printer has shut off. Leave it unplugged for about 3 minutes or so and then plug it back in, turn the power on and allow for the printer to recognize that the cartridges are not in place. Now you will need to put the cartridges back in and this should allow for the printer to now recognize the ink being installed, which is where this error message is stemming from. Please reply once the above steps have been taken and advise on the outcome. We will take further steps if needed.

I replaced my Canon ink cartrige in MP470 after removing the protective tape and making sure it was well seated but I still get the "out of ink and change cartridge" screen. ??????


If the ink error doesn't clear after you close the lid, switch the printer power off for few seconds. If that doesn't work, try removing and fitting the cartridge again.
Are you sure the error is for the colour cartridge - not the black this time??
If you can't get it to reset, don't panic. It will still print as normal. If it stops and asks for a new cartridge, holding the Stop/Reset button for 10 seconds will make it work again.

We have a Dell 944 showing Error 1102 consult user guide...cannot find the user guide. We just replaced color ink cartridge with a re-processed one ordered online. Please advise...many thanks!.

Please unplug the printer from the wall. Now remove the power brick from the back of the printer for 60 seconds. Now plug everything back in. This will reset any error messages the printer has. Now open the printer with the power on and the cartridges should go to the center to be replaced. Take out both Dell Series 5 ink cartridges and make sure the tape is off the cartridges and insert both back in and make sure the seat properly and latch. Close the printer and it should print an alignment page. If you still get the error message

Why does my Dell ink cartridge level still show up as "low ink" after refilling them?
Dell ink cartridges have a sensor that reports the ink level as low once it reaches a certain level. The sensor can not
be reset. If you refill an ink cartridge that previously reported low ink, it may print fine, but the sensor will always
report low ink. Buying or replacing ink cartridges with new Dell cartridges will resolve the low ink message.

Dell discourages ink refills. Refilling ink may lead to print quality problems, and even eventual hardware problems.
This post is in no way a validation of refilling ink cartridges.

Why my printer is reporting “low ink" after using refilled/remanufactured ink cartridges?
Most ink cartridges have sensors that report the ink level. The “Low Ink” is usually the last sensor (fuse) before
running out of ink.

Since the sensors are fuses that open when the ink level drops, they cannot be reset. If you are using refill or
remanufactured ink cartridges, the best thing to do is to disable “ink alerts” on the printer’s software so you don’t keep
getting “low ink” messages.

To disable “Ink Alerts” on Dell inkjet printers:
1. Open the Dell printer software (All-In One Center, Tool Box, etc)
2. Go to Settings
3. Advanced
4. More Options
5. In the “Appearance Mode, window, check “Never display the Printing Status window” and “Display the low
ink alert only when the cartridges are almost empty.

Try reseating all cartridges, and power cycling the printer...

Change printer ink


Turn on the printer.
lower th epirnter's output tray, pull out the extension, and open the cover.
press and release the ink button.
if your ink lights is on or flashing, the printer head moves to the left, and the cartridge that need to be replaced stops under the ink out mark.
open the cartridge cover
Pinch the back tab of the empty cartridge as your left it out of the printer.
shake the ink cartridge 4 to 5 times while it is still in the package.
unwarp the new ink cartridge and lower it into the holder. Push down gently until the cartridge is firmly seated.
repeal the procedure if more than one ink cartridge is out.
close the cartridge cover.
close the printer cover and press the ink button.
The green power light flashes and the printer makes noise. charge takes about a minutes. When it's finished, the green power light stops flashing and stay on, and the red ink light should go out.
