30 seconds is quite a long time for a camera on start up but I don't have the start up time specifications for this camera. Now for the orange light flickering after a shot the lights are telling your the pictures is being loaded to your memory card. It still seams like a long time to be loading a picture but I don't know where you has set the quality level of your photo's another thing is formatting the memory card. The memory card needs to be formatted to the camera it is being used in, if this card was not formatted I'm surprised it's working at all. My suggestion would be to download the pictures from the camera to your computer Hard Drive eject or safe disconnect the camera "drive" different computer call it different names. You must stop the card before removing the USB cable.
Once the pictures are on the computer hard drive then format the memory card this will clean all the pictures off the memory card and make it ready for new pictures.

If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors
- Flickering screen
- Screen image disappears after several seconds
- Dim screen
- Slow start
- Power LED on, but no picture
- Unusual colors and/or lines
The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad.
If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced.
New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life of your monitor or TV by several years.
Check the cables, connectors and connections.
Take it to a repair shop.

There is a 95% chance that your powerboard needs to be upgraded with a few newer-better components.
I repair many gateway boards on ebay and this is a common occurence.

There is also a slight chance that a bulb is weak and is causing that effect.

If you unplug the vga cord while it is on, let it sit about 30 seconds till the power light turns to amber and then plug the vga cord back in you may get the desktop to flash on for a second or two.

It would have to be taken apart and the boards looked at to get a better idea.
If you do take it apart, send me a picture of the board to bammbamm@ptd.net. I may see a problem

Screen flickers for about 20-30 seconds sporadically

Try looking at the LCD screen at a sharp angle to see if ghost-like video can be seen during the 'off' time of the flicker.  If video is still present even though not that visible, then either the backlight or its power supply are failing. The color problem could also be caused by a backlight lamp that is not ionizing completely.

DLP TV starts to loose picture after 1 - 1/2 hours of use

This tv has a 3 board video path. Analog main pcb --->Digital main pcb --->DMD pcb. see which inputs have the problem to narrow it down. if only some inputs, suspect analog board. if everything flickers(all inputs and menu), suspect the dmd or engine. you can see the lamp shine out the back. if the lamp is flickering, suspect lamp or ballast.
