Check for air leakage when its running,if no leakage it could be a reed valve in the head, head would have to be removed and inspect reed valves

I have a CH HJ 300200 that will not build pressure, there seems to be pressure building in the tank but the Pressure gauge does not move. I removed the pressure line going to the tank, it gets hot and...

Bill:

I would remove the pressure gauge and check the bottom of the air gauge fitting. The small hole at the bottom of the gauge fitting may be clogged. Sometimes when the pressure gauge is installed a piece of Teflon tape (used to seal the threads) can get lodged over the pressure gauge air port.

Pressure not building in 1800 broaster

In order to build pressure, you need to first make sure that you have enough product to generate enough steam to build pressure. In a Model 1800 you need about 5-6 pieces of chicken or the equivalent to build a sufficient amount of pressure. You also have to have enough heat to create the steam, so check the oil temperature with a thermometer to make sure the actual temperature of the oil is close to the set temperature. If you have enough product at the proper temperature but no pressure is being generated, you need to determine where the steam is escaping. If the steam is escaping around the cover, replace the cover o-ring. If the steam is escaping from the exhaust stack in the back right corner of the unit, then your pressure regulating valve needs to be cleaned or rebuilt. The pressure regulating valve is mounted to the front of the cooking well just below the countertop. If the unit is several years old you should go ahead and get the rebuild kit for it.

My 1999 crown vic is still not building fuel pressure. I've changed the fuel pump and fuel pump relay still not building enough pressure. What else can i try

check or replace fuel pressure regulator. symtoms are. lack of fuel pressure, excessive fuel pressure, black smoke and engine running rich, instant drop of fuel pressure, when turned off delay building back up sufficient fuel pressure. also be sure fuel filter is not plugged. check the filter first !!

Air pressure only builds up to 45 lbs. compressor continues to run. I drained all the air and it still only builds up to 45 lbs.

The check valve is not holding the pressure back off the head, therefore allowing the pressure to build up fully.

Will only build pressure to 100psi of rated 140psi

Chances are that the pressure switch, were you turn the compressor on and off, is bad. When they go out, they no longer build pressure to the regulated level you are looking for. If you haven't already, try turning up the regulator, if no more than 100psi build's, then it's a sure thing, bad pressure switch.

Vent Pipe Question

In the majority of buildings, yes - it depends on the type of building and the building regulations. The purpose of the open vent pipe is to relieve any positive pressure in the drainage system. In buildings up to ten storeys high, one open vent is recommended to relieve the constant positive pressure build-up that can occur if the main sewer is blocked for some time. In higher buildings the positive pressure generated is in transient form, so each stack would need an open vent.
