SOURCE: I would like to transfer music from a cassette to

Even simpler than that program is Audacity. You can download it free. The easiest way to accomplish what you want to do is this. Go to WalMart and buy a double male ended headphone cord for about $5 Plug one end into the headphone jack on the tape deck, plug the other end into your microphone jack on your computer. Be sure to turn down the volume to about 10% on the tape deck. This will keep the sound from becoming destorted. Press record on Audacity and start the tape. You can see it record as it plays. Then save that Sound file as the name of the song.

SOURCE: The EZ Vinyl/Tape Converter software seems to have

It is probably too late to help you, but others might have this problem and we solved the issue by disabling and enabling.
Click on windows button (bottom left hand corner), control panel - sound - Playback tab
You will find that there are a number of different speaker setups in that area. One set will have the light meter moving, but there won't be sound from your speakers. This is because the modern computer is much more like an amp and has the ability to have different speaker combinations and settings. You only use one speaker set-up.
- double click on a speaker option, advanced tab, and test. If there is no sound, then your speakers aren't connected to that port. Move to the next one.
- Once you find the correct speaker setup for your system, then disable the previous setup and ensure this one is enabled. Once the meter bar lights up for the right speaker combo, all sound will work as expected on your computer.

The modern computer is much like a stereo amp now, and you have to tell it which set to use. (For some reason it works well enough, until you start adding stereo components onto your system.)

Yes it's painful... Manufactures and vendors FIX the items that have THE MOST complaints, but often build in NEW problems with devices that worked before!

TRY going back to a older version(s) first... ESPECIALLY true if your device worked BEFORE the latest update... HERE is a GREAT Site for you and others:

IF you need a older version of X program... you should find it there!

EZ Audio Converter does not export files to iTunes

I've had exactly the same problem, and so far no resolution from Ion. A small bit of good news: the .wav files are on the hard drive, although without any track info. At least on Vista, they are in username/AppData/Local/Temp. The files are name Temp0, Temp1, Temp 2, ...

You can use iTunes to add these files (File/add file) and then convert them to .mp3s, or whatever format you prefer. Or you could convert them first using the tool of your choice, such as Audiograbber.

This is inconvenient, but a lot better than re-ripping the vinyl after EZVinyl hangs.
