Question about Denon DRA-455 Receiver
Check on the front panel of this receiver for a speaker switch or button. If there is one there, which there usually is.. PUSH IT (or them) This problem has happened to the most knowledgeable professionals in the sound business. Give it a shot.
If there is any sound coming from any speakers, it is not the speaker switch.
Sometimes a frayed wire shorting out can shut down the sound on a receiver. It's a because of the protection circuit in it.
There is a form of automatic muting on most FM receivers. If the station is too weak or the antenna is not connected or working properly, you can get silence for the unit.
Hope this helps,
