Question about Acer Aspire 5570-2067 Notebook

1 Answer

I am not a computer expert and have never opened my laptop and am afraid I would ruin it completely. Would the BIOS have a password that I don't know about? This is not something I have done. I just recently was told to put a password into my computer to start it because I am on cable and the internet is on all the time. My computer didn't shut down for a couple of weeks and I thought I had written down the password but can't find it written and don't remember the entire password. It is possible to just put the recovery disk in and start all over again. Will this solve this problem

You cannot recover from losing the BIOS password as it is in place to protect the owner from theft.
If you prove ownership to an Acer dealer, he can recover your password for you.

I have lost the bios password... any body help me to recover without opening case

This is a tricky one because the BIOS password is made to be the hardest password on a computer to break. Some manufacturers allow you to enter BIOS without the BIOS password but most do not. Here are some troubleshooting methods starting with the easiest and moving on to the hardest.

To enter BIOS hit the F2 key repeatedly as the computer boots up. You should enter BIOS after the first loading screen. If this does not send you into BIOS, try the ESC, DEL, and F1 keys. Once in BIOS find where you can set the password and reset it or enter a blank password as your new password.

If you can't access BIOS or are prompted for a password once you enter BIOS, try the following methods to flush the BIOS password cache:
1. Contact your manufacturer's support and ask if they have a backdoor BIOS password that they will allow you to use. This works to allow you to enter that password instead of your own and easily fixes the whole problem, but not all companies will tell you their password. You can also do a google search for your manufacturer's backdoor BIOS password since many of them have been discovered.
2. Send your laptop to your manufacturer to have them reset the password manually, although this takes an undisclosed amount of time and they will often make you pay a fee if you are not under warranty.
3. If you don't want to pay your manufacturer, open your laptop and locate the motherboard. On the motherboard there is a CMOS battery, if you don't know where this is use your PC manual. Remove the CMOS battery for an hour and then place it back on the motherboard. This should reset the password. After this turn on your computer and enter BIOS. This will reset all your BIOS settings so it may take a few minutes to open. After it is open, just exit BIOS and everything should be working properly. Just be very careful when opening the laptop and handling the CMOS battery because you can severely damage your laptop if you don't handle it properly.

Thanks for using FixYa and good luck!

Ther's some one know my pass. in the KOS and I don't know how to change pass. my pasword

IM assuming you have a Bios password? If so this is diffult to remove sometimes. In most cases you will have to take the laptop completely apart to get to a cmos battery (flat silver round battery) to unplug then replug it back in. What this does is wipe all the setting in the bios thus removing the password. But in some cases this will not work and you will have to short certain pins on the motherboard to remove the password. If this is the case it is best to leave it to the experts.

I can not open computer. I need password bios. I forgot the password.

Bios passwords can be reset by draining power completely. remove all power sources, open it up, pull out the CMOS battery, and hold the power button (10 seconds) to drain any residual charge. Turn it on and the password should be disabled

I forgot my bios password for my acer aspire notebook, how can I reset it or reset it to default?

I know some methods to reset bios password.
1. The best and easiest method: Close OS and shut down the electricity power of computer. Open your computer box, take out the cmos battery from the mainboard. Then the bios password will be reset to blank. Put it back after a few minutes.
2. Follow some hard tutorials, it is difficult to do. It is better that you are a expert. For example this tutorial: Bypass BIOS Password or Crack CMOS Password?
3. Use the bios password recovery tool , but that is not free!

So I would suggest you the 1st method. Hope it helps.

Forgot pasword with into bios to try changing it and know I am completly lock out of my laptop

how to remove Bios password
the easiest way of removing that password is removing the watch battery inside the computer.
remove the computer battery and charger
go ahead and remove the covers from the bottom of the laptop.
you should be able to see a tiny battery hidden somewhere underneat those covers.
go ahead and remove it, wait for about 20 seconds and re insert it I recomend most people to go ahead and get a new battery at this moment (now that is open) and replace it.
after that go ahead and place covers back, battery and turn computer on you are going to have to set the time and date again on the BIoS and windows.
that takes care of the BIoS password.

if it works for you don forget to rate me

thx

Bios password

if you know the password, then when you go to change it instead of entering a new password just press enter on the keyboard. If you don't know the password try, admin or administration or even the word password.
