Are you referring to the power supply of the PC itself? If so, what has been done to repair it every two months? How old is the PC, as it would appear that you got a bad machine, and it should be replaced by HP/Compaq if it is still under warranty. Their policy is 3 times in to the shop for repair = replacement...

If you are not under warranty, please provide more detail regarding the exact models involved, what power supply / other parts you have used, and how it is being determined the power supply is bad. It sounds as though there is another piece causing this, if the same thing has been replaced repeatedly, but we will need more info to help if that is the case.

Please post back if you need more help, otherwise thank you for using and rating FixYa!

Rating a response to your posted problem as a poor response in this fashion serves only to reduce the expert's standing at FixYa. If you will look at the posted problem, please note the complete lack of detail. Then to review the response, you will note that there are numerous questions posed, which are aimed solely at obtaining enough information to be able to help you further if the machine is not under warranty. This is the best possible response, particularly given the manner of presentation of the problem.

Again, please note the number of additional questions posed on your behalf in the response, in an attempt to gain the necessary information if you needed further assistance. It was also clearly stated that if you need further help, please ask and provide details so that we could help you to move forward more definitively.

If you truly desire to have help with your issue, any PC support tech will have to have the exact information I have indicated in my response. Further, it is important to remember that we, as FixYa experts are not paid - the only "compensation" we receive, aside from the personal satisfaction of helping another in need, is the appreciation of our efforts shown in the rating of the response. Rating a response as a poor response, without providing any more detail, indicating you still have a problem, or otherwise replying results in damaging the expert's ranking (their standing within the FixYa community) without cause, and without consideration of the efforts on your behalf. Your reconsideration of this matter would be appreciated, as we are here to help. Thank you for using FixYa.

My LG 42LV4400 has a red light in the bottom left corner but it will not turn on.

2 month and already quit? OK: first thing to do is to unplug TV off the power strip or wall outlet. Wait for a few minutes and plug the set back into the power source. Try to turn on the set manually, by touching sensors or buttons on control panel. some TVs have push buttons, some touch sensors. If your TV was set to "auto power on" mode, then don't touch anything after plugging set in. That's the only action you can do to "revive" the set. If you will be able to turn set on manually and "free standing" without any external connections, except power cord, check your remote control unit. 95% of consumers turn on their sets via "clickers". In case of complete failure, you might have month or 10 month left of factory warranty, depend on price you paid. Use it a.s.a.p! If needed. There is no magic button to heal broken circuitry.
Good luck,

Power head and wand has no power. Unit is less than 4 month old.

Hi, I had the same problem with mine and found that if you plug the power head directly into the handpiece (bypassing the telescopic wand) and it worked only proved the problem is in the telescopic wand. The problem as I found was a broken terminal in the end that connects to the powerhead (female socket). As it is a non repairable part means replacement at $100AUS I have had my machine for 3 years and in this time have replaced the both powerhead once and the wand twice within 2 years of owning the machine. The wand has now gone faulty again 4 months after replacing it and consequently Electrolux only warranty spares for 3 months which I think is poor! Its a great machine but a little too delicate even if it is only used for domestic operations once a fortnight! I paid $700 for my Oxy3 3 years ago and wont be buying another Electrolux product due to poor service (customer and product):((

External power broken

It's very difficult to find any information on the DVDgem. I know, because I have one also.Take the power supply to your nearest Radio shack and have them match the output specifications and the plug in adapter to fit your DVDgem. The replacement power supply may appear different, but the specifications are quite common. They may be able to assist in repairing the original unit.
