Bought my 3 y/o the Dora Mp3 Sing-a-long Box, but I have not been able to figure out how to download songs on to it. I am a virtual idiot when it comes to computers. I have bought some music on itunes for this player already. Can you tell me how to do this in simple steps. I have windows on my computer. Thanks.

I was able to change the songs from aac to mp3. I think. I am attempting to copy them and put them on the removable disk, but it is giving me these options when I plug in the USB port. Copy disk using roxio Creator copy. Play using window media player. Open folder to view files using windows explorer. Or take no action. Where do I go from here?

Ok. I have copied them to the e: drive by right clicking and copy paste. Watched it load or transfer. Then when I try to play the player it says there is no file.

Hi.

Instead of clicking on the removable disk with the left mouse button, use the right mouse button. From the dropdown menu choose Open or Explore. Find the music folder and copy the mp3 files into it.

Regards.

Ginko.

Hello,

the itunes music is protected and it will not play back on your mp3 player.
but you should be able to right click on each song and select CONVERT to another format. they need to be MP3 format and unprotected. I don't know if itunes lets you do that.

the protection is there to ensure that apple or itunes gains as much profit as possible.

depending on what format the files are on right now, there might be a program that you can buy to convert the files to normal mp3 songs, but it might be better to get your music elsewhere, itunes is best used together with an apple ipod or similar device.

when you get the files into mp3 format your almost done, the last step is to connect the mp3 player to the computer or its memory card to a card reader and then copy the mp3 files over to the player.

that is it.

to copy the files, first you need to know where they are. go to the location where they are and first select the song(s) and then right click and select copy, then open My computer or Computer from either your desktop or from the start menu, and find the removeable storage device that is your mp3 player, right click on the empty space and select paste. it takes a minute or so to copy the files over.

sorry I wrote the comment to you accidentally it was meant to another person.

-- take no action and then open Computer or my computer and find the player from there and open it, or it might be named as a remoavable storage device.

make sure the files are MP3 and if there is a music or songs folder inside the player copy them in there.
