SOURCE: Digital tuning

You'll need to go into service mode and do a factory reset.
To enter service mode you'll need to press these buttons on your remote in the following order:-
Standby-info-menu-mute-standby.You'll need to do it fairly quickly and be patient it doesn't always go into it first time, don't press and hold the buttons.
The service menu should appear on the screen.Use the up /down cursor to scan down to option number 12 (factory reset)and then press the right cursor wait will appear on the screen and the set will go to standby(don't worry this is normal)
Reboot the set and retune and all should be well

SOURCE: Samsung LCD Tv

Try this:
Access menu service by press on your command, with your TV OFF:

INFO + MENU + MUTE + POWER ON

Then you should get access to Service Menu.

The last item says: RESET

This will do a reset to the TV.

Make no harm.

WARNING: If when on service menu you feel tempted to "screw" on anything FIRST take note on ALL you change! You can compromise the TV ...

SOURCE: 37" Polaroid LCD TV No signal appears when select channel

So, I couldn't get the tuner to work (tried everything). Eventually I realised the cheapest solution would be to buy a digital set top box, and use this as the tuner instead of relying on the one built-in to the TV. Works fine.
But yes, I won't be buying another Panasonic in a hurry.

SOURCE: Cannot change channels in digital mode

Solution that worked for me:

Beware: Although the process should be safe, it technically voids your warranty.

Enter the service menu:
1 - turn of tv with remote
2 - press and release in the following order on the remote: Info, Menu, Mute. Make sure remote is pointing at the tv
3 - turn on the tv from the remote
4 - you will see the service menu. using the down arrow on the remote select the Reset option. Using the right arrow button at this point will do a hard reset.
5 - Wait a few seconds, turn TV on
6 - you will have to rescan analogue and digital channel but it should be working now.

To pick up digital signals you need two things a good aerial and a good lead to it. The best type of aerial is like the one shown below. As for the cable to it, get the same stuff used to link up satellite dishes. Also shown below. If you need to split it for more than one TV get a proper splitter.
Never use the old type brown cable, it lets in water and doesn't stop electrical interference. A badly suppressed car on the old analogue TV caused a few dots on the picture. If it gets into a digital signal the picture will freeze and then vanish till it's gone. That's why you need very good cable.
To watch the HD channels you will need a really good signal, so invest in a decent aerial.

Fisrt check that the aerial connector going into the TV is OK.
The UK is in the process of switching off the analogue channels and reassigning to digital TV. This means that the signal strengths of various transmitters are getting stronger and channels are moving around to different frequencies. Try retuning the digital TV stations. If this does not work then try an external DTV box to see if the TV is at fault or it is a bad signal on the aerial.

I have a KDL-32v3100 Sony LCD. only analogue channels are found. no digital channels are found. aerial is OK

You don't say how clear the analogue picture is. If it's snowy, or ghosting (double images etc) your signal may be too weak to produce an acceptable result for digital signals to work at all.
If this is not the case you may have a faulty digital tuner. This assuming that the set was working and then stopped.

Hi i have hisence 42 inch tv will not tune in keeps saying no signal yet me old tv is fine

Hi there
I am assuming your new TV is now Digital. If so, it will be looking for a different signal to the old TV which was probably analogue. You may need a aerial upgrade/diagnostic to determine if you are recieving a digital signal. Or you can tune in the analogue channels, by switching the new TV to analogue, through the inputs/menu, and then i suggest autotune.
Hope this helps

I have just moved house to Reading and previously was able to view freeview tv using my old indoor aerial in my 2nd floor flat in london. This indoor aerial didn't pick up any signals, not even analogue,...

You will need to have an outdoor aerial installed, the signal area you're now living in will not be a strong enough reception for an indoor aerial no matter how good or expensive. You could try the indoor aerial in different positions around the room especially by a window to try & pick up some other channels but the long term this will cause some of the programmes to break up or freeze. An aerial on the roof or in the attic will be your best solution to pick up all the digital channels on freeview.

Freeview - No transmitter found

The signal from the communal aerial might be weak, since other people are using it, or it is experiencing interference with a power cable or something.
Try a signal booster from **** Smith or Harvey Norman, RadioShack, Tandy, Walmart etc ( I assume you are Australian - Freeview :) )
OR
Get your own aerial, if you don't live in a concrete shoebox....

Digital channels lost on DVD recorder

I'm delighted to report that all is now working.
I turned the recorder off at the mains electricity supply, left it off for several hours, switched it back on, searched for new digital channels, and it found them all :-)
I had tried this before, but only left it disconnected for a few minutes, and clearly that wasn't enough.

No digital picture on digital TV

Are you getting a snowy picture, If so, you`re still on analogue. If you are on a digital channel with say no signal, you should get a blank screen with either a message saying no signal or a dot on the screen. Ian

Intermittent sound/picture freeze when recording

this fault could be due to electrical interference ie freezer cutting in/out .just because your signal is strong dose not mean its interference free .check you analogue picture get it as good as you can with no ghosting. i also live in the southwest cornwall infact .aerials in lofts are not a good idea .i would mount it outside. by the way i am told that when the old analog channels are turned off the digital signal strength will be increased. good luck .farr64 [camborne cornwall]
