Question about Kenwood VR-6070 Receiver

2 Answers

My 6070 acts as a switch between various audio/video inputs and the sound system and video elements. In this case the video element is a Benq 770 projector. The video/audio inputs are a DirecTV receiver, a DirecTV digital recorder, and a Panasonic dvd player. This configutration has been playing for years. I now want to add a WII game to the Switch matrix to be able to switch in the WII game to the amp and the video projector. The inputs from the WII to the Kenwood switch matrix are baseband video and left and right audio. I have inserted thes into the inputs at CH 1. The video runs to the Benq via S-Video. All other switch channels work ex the WII video to Benq. When plugged directly into the Benq, the video signal is projected correctly. I am trying to figure out why the WII-Kenwood-Benq connection that I have doesnt work.

The only link I have between the Kenwood and the Benq isthrough walls and ceiling via S-Video. I need to know how to get the baseband video from the WII to convert to S-Videeo.

Sounds like the Kenwood vr-6070 should be bypassed for the video, and note which video input is used for the Wii and the Benq, Good luck on this.

Using turntable (audio technica at-lp 120) with built in pre amp the sound is distorted and broken up. the turntable requests phono turned on to use. Does the receiver have a pre amp or boost signal...

A turn table produces sound voltage in the millivolt range. If you have it connected to a receiver that has a phono input and the turn table is pre-amplified, you are overdriving the receiver and it is clipping the audio and making it sound bad.

Use AVI in mode. Your TV input selection is not set in Audio video mode. From option menu or input button on remote select AVI input.

The heating element on my Whirlpool Quiet Dry I Clothes dryer doesnt turn off even after cycle is over, and tumbler has stopped tumbling?

The element is shorted to frame or the motor cent switch is bad.Or both. Might be a busted spring or lint has the switch stuck in the on position. My low cost production epic cent switch video shows how to check that. On my youtube channel is a bunch of whirlpool videos from various models.

My element electronics tv says no signal

Two things to try:

1. Connect a DVD or something else to one of the rear audio/video inputs to see if set works that way.

2. Check to make sure set in menu is set to tuner and cable---if the tuner in the set is bad a cable box with audio/video outs on the back can be hooked to one of the rear audio/video inputs and will bypass the tv tuner--you will stay that input to watch TV and change channels with the box----

The cost of renting a box is minor compared to having to replace the tuner in the set.

Dropped the mic.

I would imagine the mic element broke. To test, remove from the case and without touching anything else, touch (using a small screwdriver if need be) the solder connections on the wires for the mic element (while system is up). Hum? Yes? bad mic element. No? Problem with electronics. Look for broken wires also.
The receiver shows signal so RF is ok. You have a problem with the audio section.

Lcd montior with tv box but no hdmi sound

in some cases certain manufacturers say in the instructions that when using s video with seperate audio, you cannot use the HDMI for the sound and sometimes visa versa, it's just the way the output is set up. Remove the other sound cable you are using for pc or tv and just use HDMI to confirm that the sound is re-enabled on the HDMI
