Your SSID code should be on the underside of your router or in the original packaging it came in. You could also try restoring factory settings to your router. Combination of the two got my wii on the internet

Where do i find the ssid on the wii

You have set up your Wii and are anxious to begin playing games.
But when testing your Wi-Fi connection to your Wii, you are receiving errors.
The error is "Your wireless network is not within range or incompatible to the Wii" What should you do?
One of your first steps is to check your SSID. An SSID, or service set identifier, is a 32-character code that specifies the access point of your wireless network.
The SSID also acts as the name of your wireless network.
This ID is defined on your network's router software.
The SSID for your Wi-Fi network and the Wii settings must be in sync for the Wii to function properly.

Go to your computer and log in to your Internet router settings.
Find the wireless settings information for your router.

Locate the SSID field. This field displays the name of your wireless network.
Carefully write the SSID on a piece of paper.
Make sure that you are copying the SSID exactly as displayed in the SSID field.
Pay attention to capital letters, spaces or special characters.
Go to your Wii.
On the Wii main menu, click on the "Wii" button in the lower left corner.
The Wii Settings screen is displayed.

Click on the "Wii Settings" icon on the right side of the screen.
Click on the blue arrow on the right side of the screen to move to page 2 of the Wii Settings options.
Scroll down and click on the "Internet" button.
Click on "Connection Settings."
Click on your wireless connection.
Click on "Manual Setup."
Click the blue arrow to find the SSID field.
Carefully compare the SSID entered in the Wii's SSID Settings field to the SSID that you wrote down from your router settings.
If these SSIDs are not identical, change the Wii SSID to match your network's SSID.
If the SSIDs match, the SSID is not the problem with your Wii setup.

Ssid code

SSID is a wireless network to connect your game console, (and other devices) to the internet. They are case sensitive and can be up to 32 characters long. SSIDs are usually broadcasted so your device can display available networks. Not all SSID are broadcasted, in that case you have to know the exact name to find it. Commonly it will be password protected using a form of WPA (WiFi protected access).

SSID

SSID = Service Set Identification.

SSID is the "name" of your wireless internet router, you will be able to find it by checking what internet connection point you are connected to on your pc, if you are connected to it ofcourse.

If you are not connected to your wireless router, you should be able to find it by connecting your PC to the router with a ethernet cable.

The video shows how to find your SSID easily, if you are connected to the wireless network you want to find the SSID for.
The one which says "Maaseide69" is my SSID.

All you have to do is to click on the Internet connection icon, which is on XP, Vista, Windows 7 & 8.

The SSID is the name of the network that your router is emitting. If you use wireless internet for a laptop or other devices, this is the name of the one you connect to.

1. Go to the Wii settings page on your Wii - it's on the bottom left hand corner of the home menu
2. Scroll right until you see the Internet option then select
3. Select Connection Settings
4. Clear all your previous internet settings, or select one of the three presets that says none
5. Select wireless connection then search for an access point
6. Select your wireless connection name (SSID) from the resulting list
7. input the password for it if you have one then follow the onscreen instructions

Hope this helps!

Internet access on the nintendo DSI is saying no compatible access point in range check your connection settings under the internet option and try again error code 051099 we dont know the ssid code to...

The nintendo dsi needs a wireless router transmitting in MIXED mode, meaning that it transmits using B mode as well as G or for newer routers N mode. If it is setup to transmit in G or N only, then the DSI will not detect it.

Also, the DSI is not compatible with WPA security. You need to set up a weaker WEP security code or turn off wifi security altogether.

Also, make sure the router is broadcasting the SSID name which is the name of the wireless router.
