Computers can be temperamental things or is it just an illusion that its running slower than bfore
try uninstalling a few unnecessary programs then click start run type cmd then type chkdsk/r/f which will scan for and attempt to recover bad sectors and automatically fix any corrupt files on your hard drive then defragment your hard drive will speed up your computer

hope this helps

Possibly you have an overheating GPU or CPU problem. If you can do it, then disassemble the laptop and:
- Clean up everything (use canned air),
- Replace the cooling pad or cooling paste of GPU (if applicable) and CPU,
Reassemble the laptop.

Before you disassemble this laptop, you can check the air inlet, air outlet and the fan, and clean them up using canned air. I hope it solve the problem.

Disassembled imac 21.5 late 2009 cleaned fans put back together powers up fans go everything sounds normal but it dosent come on my external monitor I can't use imac screen as it is broken

Assuming you had a working machine prior to cleaning it, I would suggest you visit this site to follow instructions for the 27". The procedures are very similar (and nothing currently available specific to 21.5 yet) Understand that the process requires very tedious gentle handling of several cable connections that CAN EASILY BE DAMAGED if you are not extremely careful. I have performed several disassembly procedures on these models and they MUST be done with the proper tools and precise attention to detail. If not you can easily damage the delicate connections. Every screw, fastener, piece of tape, has a specific purpose and any item left out will likely result in a failure. Retrace your steps using the instructional guide (linked to above) and you may yet save the day. good luck and take a deep breath before starting!

Slow and wonting to freeze up

This could be a sign that your laptop is overheating. If you touch the laptop while it is running & you find it too hot, make sure that the fan is running properly & that the air ways are not blocked.
You can blow compressed air into the cooling vents of the fan. If you notice clouds of dust coming out, then it might be a good idea to disassemble the laptop, clean the fan & air ways, & reassemble it back. If the fan has failed & is no longer running, it might need to be replaced.

If none of this solves the problem, or is not the case, then you might have a bad motherboard

1987 XR600 stops when hot then won't start. Bike starts ok, with air screw all the way out will idle for about 3-5 minutes then stops - also stops if I rev the engine. Once it's warm won't start again...

Take your carburetor apart , clean it, and inspect the insides. My similar experience found the slow jet in the bottom of the bowl and a previous cleaner having installed the piston spring in the car top incorrectly. Put everything back to the stock settings (air screw). Double check the intake boot for cracks or separation. The problem is probably very simple , but disassembly will be required.

Complete power failure

First you need to check the fan/heatsink assembly, you might need to disassemble laptop to get to it.. but it needs to be cleaned, Clean the Heatsink Cooling Fins, and Clean the fan blades...
You next should check youe AC Adapter... Use a multimeter Hold the black test prod to the outside of the plug tip and put the red prod inside the plug tip - test for positive power... Slightly bend the cord near the tip of the AC Adapter when testing to see if there is a short in the cable..

If cord tests good, then you will need to check the DC Jack, this will also mean complete disassembly down to the motherboard and visually inspect the DC Jack...which quite possibly needs replacing.

My MX 7118 Gateway laptop fan runs continuosly, loudly and at high rate of speed. I have owned this computer for 2 years. This just started. What is wrong

Either the radiator inside is covered with dust, which lowers it's ability to dissipate heat, or there is some process running in the system that consumes a lot of processor resources - a virus/worm/trojan horse, or a badly written application. Installed any new software lately?
Press Ctrl-shift-escape to open the Task Manager and look what is your processor's utilization. If there's no application running and the processor shows near 100% utilization, then something is running in the background and eating all the processor power.
