Check at your nearest home center, hardware store, or saw dealer for these components. If nothing is near you, check Oregon saw on the web for these parts--they make bars and chains for nearly any saw ever made. Good luck!

How do I tighten a chain on a mccllough mac cat 330

Loosen the bar mount nuts about 1 turn, locate the tension-er screw next to the chainsaw's bar and while holding the bar up turn the screw clockwise until the chain is properly tensioned. while still holding the bar up, tighten the bar mount nuts, test the chain for proper tension. It should not be too tight, you should be able to rotate chain by hand, nor too loose where the chain's drive link's are hanging down below the bar's groove on the bottom side.

How to tighten chain on 4620avx poulan pro

First, RTFM- read the manual. Lost it? No problem, download it from Poulan PRO website page for PP4620avx. Pick a version you like, save and read it. Google is your friend.
Chain Adjustment Part cut and pasted as follows:
Adjusting the tension:
Chain tension is very important. Chain stretches during use. This is especially true during the first few times you use your saw. Always check chain tension each time you use and refuel your saw.
1. Lift lever on bar knob and turn counter-clockwise 1.5-2 turns to loosen clutch cover.
2. Turn adjusting wheel (downward direction) to tension chain until chain solidly contacts bottom of guide bar rail. Lift tip of guide bar while adjusting tension. Tighten chain Adjusting Wheel
3. Use a screwdriver to move chain around guide bar to ensure all links are in bar groove.
4. While lifting tip of guide bar, tighten bar knob securely (clockwise).
Hand tighten only.

Be careful not to destroy the adjustment mechanism. When it breaks, go for a clutch cover with the simple adjuster that needs a "scrench". Longer term, learn how to search this info. Saves time. Now you can work on sharpening chains- very important.

Can I fit a 1.3 mm bar and chain to my Bosch AK40-19s chainsaw

as long as the pitch of the chain is the same as the nose wheel of the bar, then the gauge does not matter as you are fitting a bar and chain with 1.3 gauge.

I have a Poulan 295. I needed to replace the chain. It is a 20" chain. There is bar oil in the resevoir. The chain will not stay on the bar (it seems loose even when fully tightened). I replaced...

If you replaced the bar AND the chain, you'll need to make sure the chain is the correct chain for the particular bar you've used. If you're only replacing the chain, you need to make sure the chain has the same # of drive links as your old chain (maybe one or two more, if you've had some removed because of chain stretch).

On that particular model, for a 20" chain, you could have a 78 OR 80 drive link chain (drive links being the part of the chain that rides in the groove of the bar). The correct drive link count is determined by the bar you've installed and should have been made clear by whoever you purchased the bar from. Some brands use an 80 drive link chain, but MOST use the 78 drive link chain.

If the bar you purchased uses the 78 drive link chain, but you have an 80 drive link chain, then no matter how far out you adjust the bar, you may not get the chain tight enough. PartsBuggy shows a listing of which bars use the 78 drive link chains here.

Need gas/oil mix for Homelite 330 10604A, HJ

To the best of my recollection the 330 is an older model saw and should be running about a 16:1 ratio. 8oz. of oil to 1 gallon of fuel. Hope this helps.

Note: You're always better being a bit richer (lower ratio) than you are leaner (higher ratio).

You can buy parts including the bar and chain for the poulan 330 at http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Poulan-Parts/Chainsaw-Parts/Model-330/1324/1503220/P0401184/00003
However poulan saws are made by Husqvarna so if you have a Husqvarna dealer near you he will probably have them available.

Sprocket won't turn with bar and chain in place. Turns freely with bar off.

It's possible that you have the anti-kick brake on or you have the chain adjusted too tight. The guard in front of the top handle should be all the way back to release the brahe. Hope this helps you
