You did not say which model you had so I copied what I could find in manuals for Technika MP3 Players. I am sure you will find the user manual to explain when your MP3 player is fully charged.
I will also include the generic way to hook up and download songs to your MP3 player.
Go to the webpages below and download your User Manual and Quick Guide.

1...You must download and install Windows Media Player 11 on your computer. NOTE...Some older MP3 players will not work with Windows Media Player 11 or Windows 7 with Windows Media Player 11. If this happens to you, then you will have to uninstall Windows Media Player 11 and install Windows Media Player 10. 2...After you have downloaded and installed Media Player on your computer. 3...Open Media Player on your computer. 4...Install all your music into Media Player that you want to install on your MP3 player. 5...Plug in your MP3 player to the computer using your Data/Sync cord, be sure that Windows Media Player is on. 6...Media player should recognize the MP3 player and sync with it. 7...After it is sync'ed with the computer, you can add the music you have installed into Windows Media Player to your MP3 Player. Your player supports only the MTV video file type... To convert your videos to the MTV file type, use MTV Video Converter OR the bundled Coby Media Manager (CMM) software (if you don't have it, download it from here)! Detailed instructions on installation/usage of CMM are found on the User's Guide... If you are satisfied, rate my solution with 4 "thumbs" or (even better) add a testimonial.
Because it is NOT in the correct CODEC, you need to convert it to the Format of your MP4, read your manual for what to do.

there is no current soloution, there is a virus on the net that completly wipes all information off mp4's including the driver files, repair files and mp4 player files. the only temporary way to fix it is to either find another mp4 and copy the sofware off that and install the divices from the copied folder, or somehow download the files off the net.
