Make sure that the cord from the console is secure in the Wii and the three colors are plugged into the T.V. in the same color plugs. There is a Yellow for picture, white and red for stereo sound. You probably need to access the TV menu and change the "input" to whatever your Wii is plugged into. For example "A/V 1" or aux.

When i turn my Wii on it does not show up on my screen all the time. Sometimes it does but not always. It usually shows up as a black screen. Everything else on the Wii works and I can eject disks and its...

try changing to a different input on the tv, or a different tv if you can(if you haven't tried that yet). if it stops then you know it's not the game but maybe the tv or the input. they do wear out from things connecting and disconnecting. you could also try a new cable from the wii to the tv. unplug the cables and check the length of the cable carefully to check for cuts or exposed wires (pets can chew them ect...). if you find anything odd, replace the cable right away. if you have ever had you wii modded in any way, that could also be the problem. even if it was a while ago.
hope this helps

Unit comes on and it takes the disk ok but then thats it

Make sure the drive to the Wii is upside down so its facing the ground and shake the Wii cause there may be loose debris in the drive.

If nothing comes out then the drive is bad. If debris comes out then try to load a game and if it doesn't load then the drive is still bad.

First check your cable connection.
Eject the disk, if you have inside.
Unplug the console at the back
Wait 10 minutes
Plug it back in
Turn it on from the remote
Press reset if it does not show up
Hold the power button to shut it off
Turn it on once more.
If this not help may your Wii need service.

My wii wont turn on the power does not show a light

Try a different outlet to make sure the outlet you have it on is good or not.

If a different outlet didn't make it turn on then at that point, try another ac adapter for the Wii. If a different adapter doesn't work then you know the main board inside of the Wii is bad.

Blank white or blank dark screen
  • Is this your first time hooking up the Wii console or have you moved it to another TV or VCR? If so, please click here to review our step-by-step connection guide. Our experience shows that the majority of these issues can be solved by double-checking your connection and finding the correct Input Select for your TV or VCR.

  • If you have verified the connection is correct, and are still receiving a blank white or blank dark screen when powering on your Wii console, then the problem is likely with the system and it will need to be repaired. Please click here for repair options.
