Did you check to see if there is a piece of material / thread caught in the lower mechanism? Take the throat plate off ...and check.

Hi ive just retimed my machine but now the bobbin thread isnt been picked up x i have a singer HD 4423 xx

That is generally a timing issue. The needle is arriving at the bobbin at the wrong time to intercept the bobbin thread. Be sure you are using a brand new needle.

Why the bobbin casing won't snap into place

Usually you need to hold the little latch open until the bobbin case is seated in the machine. Perhaps this video will help;

Ive just had my singer serviced and it seemed ok for a short while but now the arm is moving sideways as if it is catching something in the bobbin section.

If it's been less than 30 days, your repair shop should have a guarantee. If not, don't spend any more money. Singers are no longer the brand they used to be. All brands will make low quality machines. The Janome Magnolia 7330, is the lowest price machine for good quality.

I Have a new singer oromse 1408 and it is stasing my whote thread dirty grey , do i have ca problem or can i solve thisc

If it's not past 90 days, return it immediately. If it's past the return time, remove the needle, and press the foot pedal down for 2 minutes. See if there is oil/grease dripping from the needle bar. Replace the needle and sew with scrap fabric.

I have a singer Promise 1408.... just wondered... Does it need oiling or cleaning from time to time like other machines as I can not find anything in the manual or online?

cleaning the lint from the bobbin area and under the needle plate area is very helpful to the machine, as for the oiling, contact singer customer service and ask them if the machine is self oiling ?

I have an error E4 on my Singer Sewing Machine. I have searched the manual and cannot find anything on this error. I have only used my machine a few times. It is brand new.

if it's still under warrenty I suggest taking the machine back.
try changing the needle
try turning the bobbin the opposite direction
if you have a front or side loading bobbin case try reinserting
the bobbin case back in the machine
or it could be the motherboard has gone bad, or the foot pedal

Singer 4562 t bobbin case won't fit properly, what am I doing wro

Make sure the bobbin case sets sort of on top and not under the ridge of the metal ring. There is a small latch on the upper left of the bobbin case. It is metal. rotate the latch to cover the bobbin case and this should stabilize the case without making it immobile

My sewing machine is brand new- Singer confidence 7463. I just took it out of the box and (read all manuals/dvds) threaded the bobbin. The machine stops, beeps and all the lights flash- then it will not...

I am having exactly the same problem. I called the Singer helpline and was on hold for 28 minutes before I gave up. I emailed them instead. Did you ever figure out what was going on?

I have a singer 5817c

1.Remove the machine needle plate.
2. Remove the bobbin case.
3.Insert a new needle.
4.Turn the handwheel towards you by hand, and watch the
needle going down.It should go down all the way, and start coming Up again, WITHOUT TOUCHING ANYTHING.

Check, and let me Know.
