A common problem with your dryer not heating up could be that the thermostat may need a reset. Depending on the model and make of your dryer, the thermostat is normally located inside the rear cover of your driver. You may need to undo a few screws to get to it. Once you have located it, look for a switch/button on the thermostat and press it. This should get your element heating again.

Dryer runs but no heat. My husband is pretty smart with appliance fixes. Do you think that this thermal fuse solution would be easier enough for him to fix or should we get a repairman?

Hello,
The thermal fuse is not going to be the problem...when the thermal fuse has gone out the dryer will not start so since it runs the thermal fuse is good. The number one thing that is wrong with a gas dryer when it doesn't heat is going to be a broken igniter, this tip i wrote explains what to check when a gas dryer doesn't heat http://www.fixya.com/support/r10293028-gas_dryer_not_heating

Our dryer is not heating up the air coming in. So our dryer is spinning, but cool air is being used. Help!

You don't mention whether this is a gas or electric dryer. If electric, your problem is most likely a bad heting element, or a bad thermostat. Both require some mechanical and electrical knowledge to troubleshoot and fix. Dangerous voltages are involved, so if you don't have the expertise, best to have a repairman look at it.

If gas, there could be any number of problems. Gas valve, ignitor, flame sensor, thermostat, etc. Again, natural gas system troubleshooting is best left to experts.

Dryer will not heat; it runs but just does not get hot dryer is a Whirlpool LER3624EQ1 model

Sounds like your problem may be with the heating coil.
If you plan to try to repair the problem yourself, then the first thing you want to do is unplug the dryer from the electric.
Remove the back of the machine and try to locate the air tube going from the blower to the drum. Normally inside the air tube you will find the heating coil and the thermostats/thermistor.
Once you have located the heating coil, remove the two wires from it and check the coil with an ohm meter across the two terminals of the coil.
You should read continuity across the terminals, if not you will need to replace the coil as it is faulty.
Good Luck,
Hope this helps

Dryer is spinning and working fine, just no heat to dry the clothes?

Hello Could be sevral things the motor that sopins the dryer and the control are 110 volt the heal element is 220 volt if you blew half the breaker you can get spin and no heat. If it is not the breaker it could be a bad element or a senso which would require a repairman

Electric dryer will not heat. Just bought off of craigs list

Chances are thermal protection switch has been tripped.
If you cannot trouble shoot electrical circuits you will need a repairman. Also good be heating element but doubt it.
Switch runs $20.00 to $45.00. Labor you can go to home depot Or lowes & replace dryer cheaper usually.
Hope who you bought from did not know it was broken. :-(
