Question about NetGear RangeMax WPN824 Router

I've just purchased and setup a NetGear Rangemax wireless router (wpn824 v3) yesterday, and i woke up this morning and it is powered down and will not power back on , what can i do do try to get it to power on. note: i'm in college for computer and networking support at the moment so i can keep up with whatever you need me to.

It could only be an interference problem. To resolve it, you need to change the wireless channel of your router. Access the router's setup page through http://192.168.2.1, look for wireless tab. Change the channel to 11 then save the settings.

Lost setup DC


The router is compatible with any operating system. You don't need to use the CD that came with it to setup the internet connection. Just open the router's setup page by typing http://192.168.2.1 on your browser. There you can see the automatic setup.

Try to reset the NetGear router and reconfigure it again Use the user manual for the procedure. If you can not locate the manual use this helpful website below there is 2 version of Wpn824 v2 and v3 but i think configuration should be the same Just pick one. And look under the
knowledge base

Can I use the Netgear Rangemax wireless router as an access point?


Yes you can use it as an access point and hook it to your existing router, since this is a wireless router and can work as a wireless access point on your network............

Is the smart setup (that is automatic setup) does not work, call your internet provider for the exact details (unless you have them) and do the manual setup.
You will save time.
