Question about Dell 5110cn Laser Printer

I am getting a 016-310 error message on a dell 5110cn, I have powered the printer on holding the menu button and I receive a new error 003-342. Is there a fix for this?

Hit the "MENU" button, Scroll down to "Tray Settings", hit the center button "Paper type" will display, hit the center button again "MPF" will display, hit the center button again scroll to "Plain 1" then hit center button again.

We have lost security codes and cannot access the printer. We can see it but get an Invalid User error when trying to print to it.


If you forget your password or need to reset it try this, turn off the printer. Then, while holding the Menu button, turn on the printer. This will recover the factory default menu settings. The factory default panel password is 0000. once you have done this, just put everything back the way you want it like new codes etc...hope this helps

I have a Dell W5210n printer that I replaced the fuser on. How do you reset this printer?


1. Turn off the printer.
2. Press and hold (check) and .(right arrow).
3. Turn on the printer.
4. Release the buttons when Performing Self Test displays.
The message CONFIG MENU displays on the top line of the operator panel.
5. Select Reset Maintenance Count from the Configuration menu.
6. The message Reset Maint Cnt=Reset displays momentarily. Press (check) to reset.
When the reset operation is complete, the menu returns to the Printer Setup Reset
Maintenance Count Screen. Scroll down to the Exit Configuration Menu and Press
Select to Return to Ready status.

download the newest firmware from dell and then...

turn off the printer...

hold down the go and cancel buttons and turn on the printer...

it should enter download mode

then run the firmware file from your computer...

How to reset maintenance counter on a Dell 5310


1. Turn off the printer.
2. Press and hold (check) and .(right arrow).

DELL 5110CN 093-426? What error is this?


093-426 is a "black toner replace soon" error message. first make sure that you're using a dell-branded toner cartridge (you can order online here: www.dell.com/supplies) & you can try reseating the black toner cartridge.

Dell 5110cn Printer Printing Blue Shadows


I did the following and it has stopped printing "shadows". I don't know if it was one solution or the other (or both) that worked.

1.On the face of the printer press the "Menu" button>Admin Menu>Maintrnance>Color Reg Adj>
Auto Correct>Yes
2. "Menu" button>Admin Menu>Maintrnance>Clean Developer>(Pick problem color)>Yes.

Please help with diagnosis of following error for Dell 5110CN CRUM ID -093-693


crum has happened to me when using the wrong toner cart or using a non-Dell cart. If that is the case, replace the chip from the old Dell cart into the new non-Dell - easy to do by prying the small circular top off. You'll probably need to switch to non-Dell toner on the printer - go through menu to find it and your toner usage software will be disabled - that's life.

I also had this happen with real Dell toner cart and I did the same thing to rectify.

I tried everyting. I took the imaging drum out and poot it in, and notihng. This imaging drum worded before OK.
