"Card Locked " appears in viewer in all functions except View .

Hi,
can you please answer the following question in your reply:
what Service Pack of Windows Xp are you using?
what OS is the partner using?
did you try re-installing Teamviewer?

There are four possible reasons that this could happen, so you need to do some tests to diagnose which one it is.

1. It could be that you shot some photos in "RAW" and the photo viewer is not capable of decoding raw images. (You should have a digtal developing software such as LightRoom for this, or installing the right Canon software might include the decoder that allows other programs to access it.) To test for this, check the full name of the files; if you can read all the .JPG files, but none of the .CR2 files, this is your problem.

2. It could be that your card is corrupting the data. To check for this, try a different card. (Any card will work for photos.)

3. Failing the other two, either the camera is producing corrupted data, or your image viewer is not capable of reading them. To discern which, try a different image viewer. If you don't want to install one, upload it to a photo sharing site, or just view it in your browser (you can drag and drop).

Try these procedures.

I have installed another image viewer on my computer and it works well in almost all modern browsers including IE7+, Chrome, Firefox, Safari.

Move the slide switch on the side of the card.

Microsoft Works is not 100% compatible with Word. My suggestion would be to go to office.com (will load the Microsoft Office site). Type "word viewer" (minus the quotes) in the search box. First item on the list will be the Word Viewer, click on it. This will take you to the download page. Download and install Word Viewer.

Word Viewer will let you view your documents only. From what your post said (read them), this should work for you.

Remove memory card from camera and slide lock in memory card (check photo).

make sure your pictures aren't locked!!

if they're locked, you can only view them but you can't delete them.
