Also,

If you have lost the outside temperature on the clock display after replacing the transmitter battery then do the following:

1. Make sure you have good batteries installed in the remote transmitter
2. Remove the batteries from the main clock and keep them out until the clock display disappers.
3. Re-install the batteries in the clock.
4. Wait until the display returns and includes the outside temperature display as well.
5. Set the clock again for current time/date etc.
6. Bingo. You are in business.

SOURCE: Wireless thermo clock not reading outside temp

I've had a similar problem with another model, an Oregon Scientific Model IWA-80055 Wireless Thermo Clock, in which when I replaced the batteries in the remote sensor, the clock would not read the temperature from the remote sensor.
I found it fairly consistent to solve this by taking a battery out of place in the clock and putting it back in.  Unfortunately this also messed up the clock's time and date.  This is also in the instructions catalogue for the device, check and see if yours gives a similar solution.

SOURCE: The outside temp sender won't work. We put new

Simple, the instructions state that when changing the batteries on the outside temp. sensor, you must also change the batteries on the main clock unit. I had same problem when I changed the sensor batteries until I pulled the batteries from the clock and it reset fine. ( Sensor batteries first, then clock batteries. ) The clock will reset to atomic time overnight so don't worry if it doesn't read correctly at first.

First thing to do is remove all batteries. After you do that, insert the new batteries into your receiver unit. After a few seconds, insert the batteries into first sensor (-> ch 1) After first sensor has connected (beep from receiver) insert the batteries into second sensor. Double check the batteries to make sure they are installed correctly. If one of the batteries in the outdoor sending unit is in backwards, it will not send the outdoor data. On the indoor unit, there is typically one battery that is used for receiving the signal from the outdoor unit. If all of the batteries are in correctly but that one, you will see the display and the indoor temperature information, but the outdoor information will not be displayed.

The outside remote sensor quit working. it has new batteries.

Check the remote control for its infra-red emission. Check it with fresh batteries. If it is found OK, check and replace the infrared sensor inside the TV. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. It has details about how to check a remote control; by one among the post. Surf the site with patience. I've put the batteries into both stations and still am only getting my room temp nothing else.Do I need to install the one outside before I'll get a reading of the outside temp?

first you must make sure the station inside and the station outside are on the same Channel. then look for the reset button on both the one outside is probably in the battery house as well as the station selector switch. after resetting both they should be able to talk to each other again.

Outside temp

Remove all batteries. Reinstall batteries (or new ones) in the outside unit. Install batteries in the console. DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING! Wait until the outside temperature displays on the console. Make any adjustments necessary.

I assume you have tried removing the batteries at both ends, reinstalling batteries at the sensor end then the indoor end, waiting without touching anything until the outdoor temp registers and heaving a sigh of relief as things are back to normal. I also assume since the word atomic is in the header that you have an atomic clock function. If nothing works or doesn't work right you probably need to replace the system.

I have a much simpler LaCrosse system which, at this moment, is showing an outside temp of 56 degrees BUT the clock doesn't work and failed early on. I share your frustration.

I have inherited a IT-915 MHz wireless temp. station--the batteries in outside sensor were taken out but still in box-can i put them back in at this time to reset the sensor and how to set them ?

You shoud use new batteries because you dont know how old the ones that are present are. You should also use lithium battteries in the weather station sensors because they last longer and have better low temp response. The batteries should have marks on them that correspond with the marks inside the sensors.

You have to push some buttons to tell the MAIN unit to scan, then put battery into the REMOTE, set channel, and hit reset through a little hole. And the MAIN should see it.

I had the same problem, Since the outside temp wouldn't read, I figured it was the outside unit batteries. Went through half a dozen AAA batteries and wouldn't read. It was the indoor unit. Had the same bats I installed 3 years ago. DUH! Replaced the AAA, and all was well. When the inside batteries die out, it has just enough juice to read indoor temp, but not enought to sense exterior signal.

I have this model and the outdoor temp sensor isnt working, and yes both modules have brand new batteries in them. what should i do to get the outdoor temp sensor to work.

My outside display stopped working, but the inside display still worked. I found that one of the two batteries in the inside unit was almost all the way dead. Once I replaced both batteries the outside display worked. I also checked the batteries in the outside unit. After all batteries were installed, I pushed the small button that is inside the battery compartment on the outdoor unit. It's now working perfect..
