Question about Canon PowerShot A460 Digital Camera
The problem is that everytime I try to upload photos onto a computer, or even look at them for that matter, the only option in the card's folder is dcim.exe, and flashy.exe. Why are my only options execution files, and why is my computer (or any computer) not recognizing the photo and video files that are definately on it?
any help would be appreciated. Hi there.I have a 256 MB MMC card for my Canon A460.I have taken some 256 photos on the camara.I change the batteries once on the trip as they were out.Till that time was able to view the photos that I have taken.I came home from the trip I inserted the card on my laptop & there you go, the error pops up as "DCIM.exe is not a valid win32 application.I was stunned.I scanned it but viruses , spyware or trojans were found on that.I have searched & read almost every article to fix it.Until I saw your site.
I need those pics badly....Please help to fix this...I need those photos....!!!
Better u download iso buster software from net...with the help of tat software u ll get ur photos back...else u remove ur anti virus software and try it one more time....surely u ll get tat...else try it in ur fri system also..because due to the availability of virus..it wont open the folders

SOURCE: win32 error
If you are able to see the pictures on the camera you should be able to get them ..... Now if like you say the changing battery's my have some thing to do with the problem (WHY?)... well the camera every time you insert a new memory it will format IT and put the respective folder to be able to save the pics
So .... sounds like it got corrupted because of the power failure on the camera,
Now if you are able to see pic's on the camera... hummm try a card reader maybe will help, or eve go to the Mall or pharmasy to one of the Big DigitalPhoto printer that have the slots for memorys and try to see if you can print one
