Question about Computers & Internet

Iomega---The problem is trash. I have this USB external drive model 31868600 LPHD-UPC SN W2AA026067 The case is an unbelievable piece of trash. the quality of the mini usb port is so poor that it will not hold a cable at all. It is such a poorly made device, you should be ashamed. I have taken the drive out of the case to reveal an inferior chip controller and more plastic trash. I have put the case in the trash and will use the drive in another case. I will never buy an iOmega product again.

Salvage the disk-drive, and "trash" the rest.

Usb connector is broken from the Iomega LPHD-UP3. I replaced the HDD to an other case but the computer says I need to format the disk. I need an other case with the correct PCB connected to have acces

Yes, remove the drive from the case and connect it directly inside your computer. Then you should have full access unless the file system is corrupted which can be repaired with the chkdsk command.

MY IOMEGA LPHD-UP3 external/usb memory device, thinks it is full.

click start control panel administrative tools computer management disk management right click on your drive select properties click tools you should see click check now click start two boxes

automatically fix files and scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors place then a tick in both boxes then select check now start

you might tick one box then return after its finished the first repair then return and tick the second box you should not do anything while the chkdsk utility is in progress any input may damage this drive

I found that you get best results by ticking one box then returning after it has finished then tick the other box

hope this helps

How do I delete folders from my iomega 1TB external hard drive (LPHD-UPC)? I keep getting a message saying access denied / hard drive may be full (it's not) or in use? thanks

This can happen when you place a drive in multiple computers with windows. Also this can happen if the system used the drive to extract system folders.

right clickt he items and then click security. click advanced and you can go to the owner tab. under that there is a way to take ownership for the selected items and all subitems.
