If you were to log on to the manufacturer's web site, I think you will be pleasantly surprised as usually one is able to download, by model number, Customer Instruction Manuals, list of Dealers, for spare parts and service, and Installation Instructions as required.

Just Google the manufacturer's name and follow the links. Make certain you are directed to the manufacturer's web site as some search engines direct you to other sites and they charge for the information that is normally free of charge.

I hope this helps.

I have a digital lifestyle LT42322 need a code for it or what remote do I need

Set-up (Programming) procedure is too much to type in here, and is not practical and it will differ brand-to-brand remote controls. If you wish to get more; check the sites linked here. The site has set-up code list & set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. The site has general set-up codes to check with TVs and other devices are given, in the order of the 'device's brand name list' in alphabetical order. Set-up code list to many brand remote controls also is given. Pull up older posts. Search the sites by type in the brand name to your device in its search box at the top right part of the display window. It will help you to find the document easily.

The power button does NOT work manually or via the remote!!! what should i do?

I think your TV needs servicing, most likely the power button isn't your problem. You could be dealing with a power supply or a main board problem.

I have a Digital Lifestyles LT42322, the picture does not come on. Sound is o.k.

There aer two possibilities with this TV - the power board or the backlight inverters.

Both are known to fail over time and it's only a Fate's choice which one will go bad first.

Luckily neither failure is drastic or expensive to fix, at least as of the time of this posting.

The power board is already reviewed in another solution, so I'll only say that you should check visually for bulged caps and if you see some then you should replace them, but you should not automatically assume that this is what causes the problem; bulging caps are indicative, but not definitive for a problem.

Instead, what I wouuld recommend you do is measure the output 24V on the power board which goes to the inverters - be it the master or the slave inverter.

It's fairly easy if you go a voltmeter as several wires are ground and those are easy to tell as they are the same electrical potential as the metal chasis of the TV, i.e. the backlight panel and all the metal bolts that screw bolts to it.

Another few cables are the +24V.

if you have those when the TV is on as you have sound then it's most likely NOT the power board that's giving you troubles.

I can write a lot about the inverters, but instead I'll just point you to a fairly affordable and long-term solution to the problem:

Sound lost on digital lifestyles tv

Try unplugging it for a few and starting over, check your connections. If that does not help it is probably broken. This brings you to the bigger problem, It is no mystery why all of these new "no name" TV manufactures are so much cheaper than 1st tier products. Some of it is quality, but the biggest reason you spent a few to maybe several hundred less than the Sony, Toshiba, Samsung, Mitsubishi, etc. is after the purchase support. If your TV is broken chances are it is not getting fixed. There is no such thing as Digital Lifestyle replacement parts, service centers, service manuals, etc. If a company can build a TV then wash their hands of it they can sell it much cheaper. Name brand manufactures produce original replacement parts for years, they set up authorized service centers all over the country and they publish service info for their servicers. You might take it in somewhere for a look, sometimes it is something simple or basic electronic circuit failures that can be repaired with common generic components, but if you need something specific, it won't happen. You say it is "new" if it turns out broken and you can return it, do it, go smaller with a name brand or spend the extra few hundred bucks. Don't get me wrong name brands break too, the difference is they are repaired and you move on rather than throwing it away and buying again. People are discovering there is nothing more expensive than a cheap TV. Good Luck
