Do you have wifi? If you don't have wifi it wont connect. Plus if you do have wifi you prob. put a sec code in to block outsiders. so you need that same code to access your wifi

Select the wireless network that is yours.

(If you're not sure which is yours, or you don't see any wireless networks, click here.)

Asked to enter a security key?

If you are prompted to "Enter the Password or Key," then the wireless network you are trying to connect to has wireless security turned on. You will need to type in your security key or password and select "OK."

Don't know your router's security key?

Let us help you find your router's security key. Select the brand of your router below and we'll provide you with the default information for that brand!

Linksys Netgear DLink

Belkin Apple 2Wire

All other brands

Select "OK," "Save Settings," and then "Yes."

The Wii console will run a connection test with your wireless network when the test is completed. You should see the following screen:

As long as you see "The connection test was successful," the "Wii Support Code" does not matter and can be ignored

The connection test was successful - Then you're almost done! After your connection test, the Wii console will check if there is a new Wii System Update available. Once you select "Yes" and "I Accept," the Wii will begin to download any available updates. Click here to find out what's next!

The connection test was not successful - If the test was not successful, you will receive an error code.

Error Code 51330 or 52130: This means the security code you entered into the Wii is not the same one your router is set to. Look in your router's settings and try again. Please refer to step seven (7) above for more information.

Well i tried connecting to the internet on my dsi but it came up with error code 051110-1

This code means that it couldn't access your Wi-Fi access point. You have to make sure you are close enough to your router, and your connection settings match the routers perfectly. Also, try using WEP (instead of WPA) if you aren't already....hope this helps!

How do you fix error code 051110?

Hi andreamowery,

051110 - This code means that it couldn't access the Wi-Fi access point. Make sure you are close enough to your router and mathc the settings of the router. Nintendo Dsi/DS/Ds XL connects to the internet using wireless connection. You need to know the settings of your router. I've listed below the steps on how you will access the router and to obtain the information needed for you to be connected.

How to access the Router:

1. You need to know the ipaddress of your router. You can refer to the manual or check the Default Gateway of your computer (Make sure that you connect the computer to the router using an ethernet cable for you to get the Default Gateway). Click on START then RUN. Type CMD on the small box on the lower left of the screen. Type IPCONFIG on the black window and get the value of your DEFAULT GATEWAY (it starts with 192.168.x.x)

2. Open a Browser, Type the DEFAULT GATEWAY on the address bar of your Browser. It will ask you for a username and password. (Refer to the manual of your router or post a reply so that i can provide you the username and password of your router)

3. Go to the Wireless Settings Page of your router. Look for the SSID or the Network Name and theNetwork Key or Passphrase. You can personalize it so that you can easily remeber the details.

4. Make sure you connect to your SSID and enter the Network Key to make it secure.

Now that we already know the setting of the router then its now time to connect the Dsi to the network.

1. Go to Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Settings of the Game

2. Search for an Access Point (SSID)

3. Select your Network (SSID), If you have an open network, just click "OK" and it should work just fine! If it's a Red Padlock, it'll prompt you for a Password or Network Key. This is the reson why we access the router.

4. Test the Connection.

Thanks for using Fixya.
