Try this, it may help.
There should be a Blue lettered function button on the lower left hand side of the keyboard (hard to see unless you are in a well lit room) .
Along the top row of keys, F1 through F12 there will be an equally hard to see blue graphic symbol depicting a laptop monitor and something that is supposed to represent a separate desktop monitor.
WHILE THE MACHINE IS UP AND RUNNING HOLD DOWN THE FUNCTION KEY AND PUSH THAT "MONITOR" KEY. THE SCREEN MAY POSSIBLY COME ALIVE. This one has stumped the experts before.
Worth a try.
Hope this helps,
Best, Mark

HELP! Olevia lt37hvs screen went blank. No Sound, panel buttons wont work. Backlight is only on on half of screen.

if you had audio i wold say its most likely the Tconn or its upper two connections to the Panel itself. But since you dont have any sound either I would assume its either the LVDS cable from the main board to the Tconn or the Main board itself as audio and video are produced on the main board, You can get replacement boards from www.tvrepairworld.com

Screen wont work Toshiba Satellite L555

It is sure that the screen/LCD panel is damaged and there is no option but to replace the whole unit.
If you are lucky check out on service shops for a scrapped L555 due to a mother board failure which would be reasonable.

2009 212 40 watt mk2 in shop mother board went out is this common and what would cause it

"Mother board went out" is a statement of a tech that is incapable of troubleshooting things to the component level. Most common things are broken pots and connectors. There is nothing common to cause a "motherboard to go out". You should find a tech capable of analyzing the problem that has proper test equipment and skill to repair the unit. There is likely a part with cost less than $2 that has failed. Common problems include: broken connectors, broken pots, circuit board cracks, Bad solder connections. Bad solder and bad jacks are most common with bad pots third in line. Bad electrolytic caps are next in line.

My laptop is working fine, but part of the screen on the right side is black, like it's out. The whole screen went out before and had to replace some little thing,, (video inverter , maybe?) it's...

From your description they replaced the inverter board to fix the problem. When you had it repaired was the right side dark when you got it back? because if it was they are responsible for making right. If the problem was fixed, it still could be the inverter board or a bad back light that is going, if it is the back light most technicians will not attempt this repair because you have get in behind screen which is not meant to be taken apart. "a very tricky repair that requires solder work" They will usually opt to replace the complete LCD display to correct the problem.

Mother board problem ,and i dont wana buy a new 1!

IN order for the machine to power up properly. make sure you have correct memories specified by the motherboard manufacturer.
insert them as instrcited and connected a VGA (analog-old stype) monitor to the 15 pin connector. and power it up.
if it comes up great, continue with what ever you are going to do. if not, post back in this thread.

Screen is dark (like there is no power on it)

Well if you take a strong light like a flashlight and you can see a faint image. Then the lamp (CCFL) or the lamp's inverter has failed. It should work fine with an external monitor. Still not good though and usually expensive to repair (unless it is still under warranty).
