SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

If that doesn't work, try another card.

I have an vivitar vivicam s128 when I put my sd card in it says card protected what can I do

Sure you did not lock the card? The little notch should be in the up position as in the picture. Then the manual says you can use SD cards up to 32 Gbyte, but I can't find anything about the cameras compatibility with SDHC cards. So try the camera with a SD card. The used to make SD cards up to 4 Gbyte, but today, even 1 Gbyte cards are SDHC.
1- check Lock
2- Use SD card to see if your camera works with that.

See a 4GB card, only SD, but not for sale anymore.

Look at your memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

I pressed format on my vivitar vivicam 7025 and all my pictures are now gone. They were all my memories and friends so i really want them back. Please help

you can recover photos from camera after reformat with steps below

1. Remove memory card from camera and then connect it to computer. You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in My Computer.
2. Download recovery software, recommended one is this photo recovery (simply because i was using it and it worked)
http://www.asoftech.com/apr/
3. Install and open the photo recovery program, select your memory drive, and click 'Start' button to start scanning process which will find your deleted photos.

I have a vivicam 7025, when i insert the SD card says card inserted but then says its going back to internal memory so i cant take no pictures

I also have a vivicam 7025, with the same problem, when I insert the SD card, first it recognises that a card has been inserted but then it says its going back to internal memory. I can't take any photo's and am VERY frustrated!!! Did you find out how to sort yours out?

Cant delete any pictures or take any pictures

Do you have an SD card installed? If so try taking out the card and deleting the pics or re-formatting the card after installing in a computer.
