System keeps shutting down

Hi, we bought this system a year ago and have had no trouble with it til now, at the moment it it wont stay on for more than a minute and when shutting down it shows Bose Lifestyle in the digital readout screen, I dont think it is even shutting down as I can hear a noise like it is trying to read a disc in which there is a disc in it as we cant get the draw to eject. Can you help please?

my system shuts off at odd moments, not every day but several times a week. Always watching TV at the time. It isn't a big problem but a little annoying.

My sound first cuts in and out, and then the system shuts down. It's erratic in it's pattern. And, this ONLY happens when playing the TV through it. It doesn't occur when playing a DVD/CD.

I have the same problem.
I did my research and this is the solution:

Your HT system is overheated and the fan is not working. Just replace the fan and you will be good to go.

Dvd and progressive scan

THIS IS COVERED IN THE MANUAL. I DID THE SAME THING A YEAR AGO AND RESET IT BY FOLLOWING THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THE MANUAL. DON'T HAVE IT HANDY AT THE MOMENT BUT YOU CAN FINDI IT ONLINE. KEEP IN MIND THAT THE PROGRESSIVE MODE ONLY WORKS WHEN YOU HAVE IT CONNECTED VIA PROGRESSIVE SCAN.

DC-AVD8501 wont stay on

Mine did this last year, turns out there was some problem with the soldering on the circuit board. Take it to be looked at, easy to be re-soldered and cost me about £50.

Help

Hi,

Take every single cable out of the unit, now power on the unit.

If the power protection still shows then there is an internal fault, usually a short or a component defect.

If it powers on ok, switch off and insert 1 speaker at a time and power on the unit until the protection mode comes on again, the last speaker you have put in has overloaded it for some reason, also as you are trying each speaker use the volume and bass controls to see if there is an internal overload.

Thats as much as I can offer you until you narrow the fault down to the unit or one of the speakers.

Cheers

Subwoofer shuts down

Check the connection in the back of the sub, where your wire plugs in from the DVD unit, the connector is loose in the unit itself. Had mine replaced and is doing the same thing again
