The remote or RCA menu does not provide a way to turn the internal speakers off and it does not do it automatically.

I am looking for an advanced way to turn the internal speakers off other then going inside the panel and disconnecting them

  • john1000120 Jan 02, 2011

You dont think I havent done all of these things?

Hitting "Mute" is not a solution its a workaround and I could just lower the volume but when you turn the TV back on it reverts back.

Doesnt anybody have the codes to get to the advanced service menu?

There isnt an option through the menu or on the remote.

Hello,

since the TV menu does not have speaker off like Samsung TV does, then the only option you have is to turn on the mute on your TV using the remote or going to the TV menu.

Muting the TV is the only option you have if you do not want to disconnect the speaker from the inside.

Good luck.

This is done within the sound menu if not automatically by the set itself

They to check the menu of the TV is there is any option to activate the Digital out or is there is any setting which allow you make a selection between internal speaker or external speaker. if its there the make the setting as external speaker .

How can i get sound from optical input from tv ?

The optical port on the TV is an OUTPUT. You can use it to connect to a stereo system equipped with an optical port or use it to add a sound bar to the TV. You have to go to the audio setup screen on the TV to direct the sound from the internal speakers to the optical port.

How to connect sharp HT-SB350 to Sharp LC-42D69U

You may have to use the optical cable connections. Make sure there is an optical out on the tv and on the sound bar. Get an optical cable to connect them and go to the audio setup screen and direct the sound from internal speakers to optical out.

Plug for pc speakers wire

To use the speakers on the TV when you connect to a PC, get a 3.5 mm M/M audio cable (it may be called a patch cable or audio aux cable) and connect it to the PC audio in port to the left of the composite A/V ports (that's the group with 3 RCA jacks yellow (video)/red(R audio)/white (L audio)). The other end goes into the computer's line out (speaker out) port - which is generally colored green. Otherwise your regular computer speakers will play the audio.

If you want the TV's audio to output to external speakers, use the headphone jack (sometimes labels Phones, again a 3.5 mm plug) or a set of speakers/receiver that takes an optical audio connection. The optical audio jack is between the two coax connectors. Please note using the headphone jack will force the internal speakers off.

I hope this helps.

Speaker volume

This is a common complaint. The key to the diagnosis is that your MacBook is saying "Digital out, built-in output" instead of "Internal speakers, built-in output."
The output jack on this model supports both traditional and optical plugs. A mechanical sensor inside the jack tells it which is inserted. The problem is that the jack is somewhat fragile, and some plugs can nudge the sensor out of position, in which case it thinks an optical plug is permanently inserted.
If one has great repair skill, one can sometimes jiggle the connector back into position with a small pick (make sure the power is disconnected and the battery is out, if it is removable). Sometimes inserting a conventional plug into the jack several times will correct the condition. Otherwise, you should bring it in for repair and insist that it is a widely-encountered product defect.

What input do i use to connect to my hdtv

If you are using a Cable Box or Satellite receiver, use the digital input on video 2 or the digital coaxial input on video 3. If you are not using an external box, use the optical output on the back of the TV to the optical input on video 2. Depending on the manufacturer of your TV, you may have to turn off the internal speakers of the TV to activate the monitor output (optical) If you need further help, post a comment with the make and model of your HDTV and I can help you further. Hope this does the trick.

Speakers in my Hitachi 42HDT79 plasma tv are at full volume even when the volune control is at the lowest setting. What can i do to fix this?

Same thing happend to me, this is not a fix but a work around.
If you have a surround sound stereo use the fiber optic output
for your sound.
Then in the menu selection audio turn off the internal speakers.
