Condensation Leaking through unit

I have condensation leaking down through unit. This just started this year I replaced the fan motor this winter did I forget to replace something? I can see the condensation accumaliting in the tray but it never gets high enough to run through the pvc pipe. I am concened that the water will end up damaging the furnace parts under the coils.

This may be caused by an un level unit, or the A-coil itself may be un level did you move it when you replaced the fan motor? The second thing to check is the fitting at the condensate drain pan to make sure the weld has not broken or the fitting has not been stressed or bent and have a small crack.

Hope this helps Ya

I have a Kenmore Portable ac unit and its leaking from the back in the middle of the vent. I drained the unit, but it starts leaking again within minutes. Is there something wrong or could it just be too...

All portables, alllll, you have to put unit in
window with a slight tilt, as the unit runs
it creates condensation that condensation
is the water leaking out the back it's supposed
to do that, I have seen people hook a hose up
an let it drain in a bucket.
even your car a/c leaks water

Hi, I have an air conditioner Frigidaire which is leaking in the front. The unit is in a window, in a 4th Floor and I don't have access to the back, how can I unclog the unit??. I am desperate!!!!

if it's just condensation leaking out the front of the unit it could be that the unit is not level in the window. If it's tilted too far into the room it will leak condensation into the room. Try to tilt it back just a hair so that the condensation leaks out the back of the unit.

Condenser fan replaced one year ago, fan not turning but can hear motor

the answer to your problem is most likely the motor start capacitor. A AC motor can run in both directions. The start capacitor is used to cause the current to lag behined the voltage which determines the direction the motor will turn. Its posible the start and run capacitors are in one can. so changing one will change the other. However look for a wiring diagram. Do not asume that both capacitors are wired in properly. They may be fighting one another causeing premature failure.

Water leaking around screw of ac vent in bedroom. it is a slow drip that is constant even when the ac shuts off

From what you described, it sounds like the drain hole in the condensation pan under the unit is clogged. Also, the unit may not be titled down enough at the rear of the unit. Generally, 1/4" to 1/2" is required, so that the water in the condensation pan will flow to the rear of the unit, where the drain hole is. These 2 things are where you need to start troubleshooting.

I hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

There is water leaking out from the bottom of my furnace. It leaks whenever the ac is running.

Hello, sounds like a clogged condensate line or a faulty condensate pump if the unit has one. Cleaning the drain line should fix the problem.

Water leaking out of unit, not out of flow tube.

Some models have a hose, some don't , maybe the drain hole it's restricted, condensor normally it's in the back of the unit, you might have to remove one of the side panels.

Condensation leaking out of unit

if it is the indoor unit leaking, make sure that all your drain lines are clear.... if you're talking about the outdoor unit leaking water in the heat cycle...that is normal.

My furnace is leaking water when the heat is running

You probably have a 90+% efficient furnace. They produce condensation. Does it have PVC vent pipes? If so there is a drain tube for condensation.
