Question about Mad Catz Rock Band 3 Wireless Pro-Drum and Pro-Cymbals Kit for Xbox 360

Open Question

On Rock Band 3, one cymbal seems to be over sensitive. Upon hitting it, it wont execute timing properly during actual song play (causing loss of points and consequent failing) but still picks up before song starts and during drum freestyle. The other cymbals do not have this problem. I am also noticing that when struck very lightly, it executes a lot better which is why I came to the conclusion it is too sensitive. Is there any way to fix this problem?

Have you tried reassigning the guitar to another controller port, one that's not linked to the microphone? Or are you using a different dongle with the guitar than what came with it?

My kids pulled the wires off the cymbals and now I need to get new wires that go from the cymbal to the circuit board inside the console of the drums. Where can I get the wires?

Umm Wow... Well other then trying to sauter the wires back into the cymbals, I would think the replacement wires wouldnt be something easily found or replaced. You might be looking at having to get a new drum set. But if the wires are still good, not frayed then please visit this link. It is the best solution I have found.

If the wires are not repairable or not working, then try looking for the parts on Ebay, or a Parts Website such at

Hope this helped

Overdrive on rock band wireless guitar

I have had this problem once or twice myself. For me, I used to be familiar with the Guitar Hero controllers, which were very sensitive. As for Harmonix's rock band guitars, they are not as sensitive as guitar hero's and require a very deliberate motion when deploying overdrive. Next time you're playing, give it a deliberate tilt upward with a decent amount force. Also, if you bought it used, that could be a problem as well. Hope that helps.
