Question about Logitech Z-5300E (970102-1403) Computer Speakers

Speakers have low sound

I have a logitech z-5300e that contains a 5:1 speaker. I have had these speakers for about a year and half now. When I got the speakers they worked great. I tested the speakers and the volume light was set on the first light and it worked great, when set all the way up to the seventh light the walls shook. Now I have to turn the volume to the fourth light just to hear something. All the speakers work and subwoofer also. Just have to turn up the volume just to hear something. I unplugged the whole unit and redid everything and that did not help. Anyone know what is wrong with the speakers?

I have Promax 4.1 speakers. The problem is that the right channel has stopped giving any sound [there is very very low sound almost negligible] I thought it would be the sound driver issue but when i connect the same to my mp3 player right side still wasnt functioning. i exchanged the speakers from right to left and found out the same speakers function when connected to other channels meaning both right channel input switch [3.5mm] in the woofer [for speakers] dont work.... previously also i experienced same problem but they use to wrk after restarting the power of speakers.  Plz help .... whats wrong with my speakers? also i repeatedly get some mssg from realtek audio manager that new input found in the front panel which points to mic. where i have no front panel. Acc to me, this problm may nt be related to the first one.

Look into your computer audio setup, usually a icon in the lower right. they have controls for volume, some have different areas such as oper sounds, outdorrs, etc. Maybe these are turned down or muted...Also plug a head set into the CD or DVD rom port in the front if yu have and see if the volume is good. Possible bad audio card. Also try different speakers. Small speakers sell for $20.00 or less.

I shocked the stereo jack for my 5300e when i was going to plug it in after taking off my coat. it made a loud noise over the speakers and now the left front and rear channels only very very faintly play...

you have probably damaged the amp chip. inside the radio on the back wall there is a chip with around 10 pins on it that chip is the amp it controls the volume and the left right and front and back, that part will need replacing.

No sound coming from speakers and drivers not working anymore...

Make sure you use the power adapter with the speakers. Most audio cards today won't drive the speakers on their own. Either

  1. remove the audio from the Device Manager then search for changes, or
  2. Look at the Properties of the audio device and revert to a previous driver.

Logitech Z-5300 subwoofer from computer to i-pod problem...

The best thing to do is to contact the manufacturers. From this i understood that your speaker system is new. You surely have the manufacturer's guarantee. So its better to contact them than to get it repaired or replaced for free. Sir please do not try to open the sub as it will void the guarantee policy.

Hope your subs come into play as soon as possible.......
All the best...
