Is your induced draft motor coming on first and if so have you checked the voltage to ignitor when it's calling for heat. If you are not getting voltage to ignitor then you probably need to replace the control board. Thank you.

Goodman gmp100-3 furnace The furnace will not start when I turn power on. It will hum but no click. The status light is solid red. Could the ignitor be bad? And what color should it be?

You should hear the ignitor pop. If you don't hear that pop sound, then the igniter is bad. They are easy to change, just make sure you turn the gas off and the pit-cock into the appliance and take a photo of exactly where the igniter tip is oriented so you can put the new one in the same spacing to have it ignite properly. The status light should be green when the furnace is 'On.'

My goodman furnace just like doesn't ignite because it light and then no fire coming up and then it stop. please help me

If the burners ignite and then turn off it looks likemthe flame sensor is the problem. On the opposite side of the igniter in the burners will be a metal rod, this rod needs to be cleaned with a steel wool pad. Once it's clean turn Furnace back on.

Blower work, but not fireup, red light not blinking any one have any idea what is going on ?

Unplug the ignitor quick connect and check it for continuity. If it checks good then fire up the furnace and see if the power is getting to the ignitor.

I have a Goodman GMS8 furnace. The unit will start up but then go off so we have no heat. The LED light is not blinking and the rod gets red but then it goes out. What could the problem be?

Does the furnace fire then go out? If it fires then goes out its most likely the the flame sensor. This will be a steel rod that is in the path of the flame when it fires usually opposite end of ignitor. Take this off and clean it with steel wool or very fine sand paper. Make sure to pick the right part, the part that glows red is your hot surface ignitor and should never be touched as the grease on our fingers will react with the silicade nitrade and cause failure.

from my experience with goodman units ,it could have been a gas supply problem there are so many protective sensors that i dont think it is the unit by the way is it electronic ignitor or pilot

Goodman furnace won't ignite. No glow from ignitor.

yes if the ignitor has a very small crack on it it will not work replace it and see if it works but do not touch the end that glows when you put it in as the grease from your finger s will stop it working

Goodman Furnace GMP050-03

you either need an ignitor...even though it gets red it may not get hot enough...just repaired one doing the samething yours is doing same model number as yours. If that is not the problem the only other thing it could be is the circuit board
