You did not mention what type of problem you facing during driver installation.
Any way, if you don't have proper driver for your laptop, you should go to HP website
or copy and paste this link to your Internet Browser http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/support.html?pageDisplay=drivers
and put your product service tag code which you can found on the back side (bottom) of your laptop. and press enter.
Then you can found the appropriate driver for your lap top and you can easily install it directly from the web site or download the deriver and make installation as per your requirement and use.

Do the following steps -
- Remove the laptop battery - Remove the CMOS battery - Leave it for idle for around 15 minutes - Put the CMOS battery in - Boot the laptop with AC power - Then put the laptop battery in.
- The BIOS pwd would have been reset now
- For troubleshotting the battery - Go into BIOS and run the Battery Caliberation tool
Hope this helps. Thanks, AK

If it is switching off by itself & then allowing you to turn it back on it is most likely an overheating problem. The cpu has a built in sensor that shuts the pc off before damaging the cpu. First thing to check is your vents. Make sure they are free of dust & debri. After cleaning make sure your fan is blowing air out of the vents, if it is not then you will need to replace your cpu fan. If all is clean & fan is working then you could buy an inexpensive laptop cooling pad to set the pc on while working to help keep the temps in normal operating range. Hope this helps.
