Did you get a chance to

Hello

did you get a chance to read the full response before rejecting it?

ok, plug it in the charger with and without the battery does it turn on?
Comment by Ekse, posted on Jul 08, 2008 If the phone still won't turn on, you will have to take it in for a replacement / warranty repairs assuming you still have that.

If you don't you have to take it to a local phone shop, ask where you can take it for service, they should direct you to someone / service center nearby.

Comment by Ekse, posted on Jul 08, 2008 so if warranty is still good contact your dealer, operator or a local service center.

we really can't perform any miracles over the internet mate.

  • Ekse Jul 08, 2008

Well ofcourse you can attempt to repair the phone yourself

assuming the lcd, buttons, etc are fine, I suspect you would have to replace the mainboard from the phone.

no power, new batt, hopefully it is not a hardware issue but it sound like the EROM got clipped.

you may need to flash the erom on the phone

go to http://www.wotanserver.com and download the client, open it up, delete the user and password fields at the bottom so they are blank, take the battery out the phone and then put it back, click start, hold down keys 2+5 and connect USB the cable, this should update the erom and make the phone work again.

if this did not do any good, get the phone checked by sony or a local repair shop.

    good luck

Yes, I have tried plugging it into the charger with and without the battery and no it does not turn on. If the advice of this website is to take it to a repair shop then I am extremely disappointed in this service (I have never used it before). It is obviously not under warranty or I wouldn't be looking for a site to help me with repairs. I have contacted Sony and AT&T who is unable to help me with the problem. Sony will repair it for $185 which is ridiculous. If the solution I am receiving from this site is to take it to a repair center then I do want to use the money back guarantee.

Charger showing full batteries not

No, you almost for sure have screw down terminals on your battery, not a fitted battery. The charger will read full when the charger has filled it as high as it can or has fully cycled. With a full charge take your batteries to an auto store or mechanic and have them tested.

Hello,

If the computer is not turning on, there is a big chance of hardware failure and normally there is no easy fix for this rather than a motherboard replacement.

WILL NOT CHARGE I HAVE TRIED TO CHAGE IT BUT IT WILL NOT CHAGRE

well if it won't charge then it could be the batteries are too low for the charger to pick up or the charger is not working. If you have a voltmeter set it on 200 vdcand plug it into the 2 outter holes of the charger port located under the front of the joystick. Without the charger plugged in you will read the battery voltage and it should read 25-27 volts fully charged Now plug in the charger and the meter will be reading the charge voltage and it shoud be 27-30 volts. If you are reading 27-30 volts with the charger plugged in then the charger is working Hope this helps you

My Dad just passed away and his Dr. K Phantom 3 wheel scooter won't run. When I plug the charger in, it says its fully charged. When I unplug it..it reads E..I want to donate this to a nursing home locally...

tar the batteries are probably too low to charge with the scooter charger and need to be replaced. With the charger plugged in it will indicate a full charge beacuse its reading the output of the charger but when you unplug it the batteries are too low to indicate any voltage. hope this helps you

Anomalous charging behaviour :- a) plug in discharged battery b) starts off with the yellow light flashing as usual c) after a very short time the lamp goes off completely - instead of staying on...

Okay, might not be reading this right but here goes. If the camera shows the batteries as full then I'd go with that. The charger will come on for a few seconds even with a freshly charged battery because it take that long for the charger to realize the battery is already full. You can't feed an already full battery, so the charger is shutting off completely. Yes normally the light would stay on and the charger would continue to trickle a charge into it it until it is removed. In your case I think you have those batteries stuffed to the gills so the charger is shutting right down. One of the problems with these batteries is as much as the manufacturers deny it they form a memory. Best thing to do with these rechargeable batteries is drain them right down and then replace with a freshly recharged battery.

How do you perform a hard reset on the G71G? I

Hello, Have you checked to see if your Power Adapter is working correctly? I would rule that out as a possibility before anything else.

I have a compac lap top and when i plug in the wall charger nothing happens it wont charge

check to see if you can hear a hum from the charger it self , push the box hard againts ear if its humbing charger is ok, if you cant hear anything from it check fuse to plug. if this is ok then charger is broken.

If charger is ok check the conection into the laptop if it feels loose and when u move it slightly it goes on and off then possible conection to laptop prob.

If this conection is ok and the charger is humbing and working, could be a possible internal switch gone in the laptop that decides to charge and not charge when battery is full. These are always failling on laptops but hopfully its not this.

If you find the charger is broken search ebay for a new or secound hand one, aint to expensive. hope this helps

My laptop will not become up on battary ( it must be connected AC Power ) although the battary is full and working good

If you know the battery is full by having tested it working in another machine ok, otherwise my guess is
you are relying on windows to tell you the battery is full in which case you cant rely on that or some of the software that checks temp and battery life etc.

Chances are you do have either a faulty battery or even charger (even though charger will power machine
faulty by not charging up the battery) and thats either with testing or replacing.

Still check the contact points for battery and ensure charger plug is seating correct you never know.

Hope this helps
