Three red lights means your 360 is dying.
Hopefully it's still under warranty - and keep in mind that Microsoft extended the warranty for the 3 red light issue to 3 years, instead of just one. So if you bought it within the last 3 years, just call Xbox customer service at 1-800-4MY-XBOX. Be prepared to be on hold for a while. I believe you can also do this online.
They will send you a box and packing instructions, and they even pay for the shipping. Once you send it, you should get it back in about 2 weeks (or more likely a new 360).
