Volume is set at highest level. About the "does roll to voice mail", that's what happens to the caller and then I get a Voice Mail Alert and a "missed call" posting.

  1. Try one of these resets:
  2. Press and hold the Home button for at least six seconds, until the application you were using quits.
  3. If that doesn't work, turn iPhone off and turn it on again. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on top of iPhone for 10 seconds until a red slider appears, and then slide the slider. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
  4. If that doesn't work, reset iPhone. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears

More resets:

Try This:
1. Remove Sim Card
2. Hold in 'Home' button and 'On/Off' button together until Apple logo appears
3. Replace Sim Card
4. Hold in 'Home' button and 'On/Off' button together until normal phone screen appears.

Also, Try this:
1.) Shut down the iPhone 3G.
2.) Start up iTunes
3.) Hold down HOME button on the iPhone 3G
4.) While keeping the HOME button depressed, plug in the Sync cable
5.) A message will pop up to ask if you want to reset.
6.) Just click YES and the reset process should start.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response. Happy New Year!

Well if you get the missed call, and voice mail notify, the person did not leave a voice mail maybe.
I suggest you call yourself, from another phone, and see how it handles the call,
Also try goto settings, then General then reset network settings.

I tried to help you. Please help me and Rate/Vote on my response. We take the time to answer your question. take the time to rate us.Thanks and good luck

Deleted voice mail in error, is there anyway to retrieve?

  • Start by tapping the "Phone" icon on your iPhone.
  • 2 Next, access your voice mail messages by tapping the "Voicemail" icon.
  • 3 Look at your list of current voice messages. If you have any messages that are eligible for recovery, you'll see an item at the very bottom called "Deleted Messages". Tap on this to access a list of your deleted messages.
  • 4 You should now see a list of deleted voice messages. If you see the message that you want to recover, tap on it and choose "Undelete".
  • 5 Your voice message will now be sent back to the main list of current voice mail messages.
  • 6 Repeat steps 1-5 for "each" message you wish to recover. This may take time!
