Our new 6.0 Caller ID phones have an echo. Can you suggest a remedy? John Chalk johnchalk@hotmail.com

as per jonniewalker from one of his posts:

"it may be due to interference from electronics devices around you since its a cordless phone ,or your phone is not getting a complete connection, could be one cause,Please try these solutions when you experience echo sound :

- turn the volume down

- turn the "clarity booster" function on the phone

Follow these steps to turn on clarity booster

1) Press menu/del during talk time (while phone is in use).

2) Press ^/vol or vol/v to move the pointer to Clarity Boost, and then select Boost On and "B" appears on the display. To turn Off the Clarity Booster, repeat above step again. check the owners manual for a full description for your model of phone
*Please note: clarity booster turns off automatically at the end of each call.

- make sure the Echo Canceller Circuit (ECC) has been set properly

*The phone should have Echo Canceller Circuit (ECC) built in.

*This means the circuit will study the Voice Level & reduce/cut the echo automatically.

Follow these steps to set the ECC properly

1. Unplug the battery from the handset for a few seconds.

2. Re-plug the battery back into the handset.

3. Make a phone call & at the initial stage speak loudly into the mic. Please note: The ECC will learn at the initial stage only, so after these steps are followed, the ECC will start working properly.or
just a simple pwr cycle ( turning the phone off) can give you a fresh registratoin, this can improve the quality of the call. hope this helps pls do let me know"

T7316 Dropped calls and voice echo

How are your lines coming in to your phone system?

Generally you get an echo on VoIP lines not set up correctly.

T7316 should not give echo, as it is a digital phone.

Talking on phone, someone calls in & leaves message, can't locate

Thanks for the opportunity to help with your problem. If you also have voice mail through your phone service provider, it's possible that while you are on the phone, the incoming call is "waiting" (meaning you are hearing a beep while you are still talking assuming you have call waiting). If you don't pick up the incoming call, your caller will hear your "voice mail" message and leave a message. However, your answering machine will not indicate that you have a message.

If my assistance was of any benefit whatsoever, please give me a rating so I can continue to improve my service. Thanks for using FixYa.com.

Speaker phone volume keeps going loud and quiet

Did the location change, a Echo from a wall or vibration from the table. It is a one way sound, someone talks and you hear. As soon as you talk it cuts out the speaker even if they are still talking and it transmitts what you say. So any noise in the room could trigger the the transmit mode even an echo from the sound being turned up too loud. The mike is on the bottom of the base and can pick up table vibration and send it into transmit mode. So the person talking cuts in and out.

My Philips SE 450 sounds awful. I hear my own voice in my phone as I talk. It is like an echo.

you may have to enable a feature called voice enhancing on your voice, the echo is sometimes caused by feedback from various sources. it should appear as a VE symbol when you have it turned on, this helped me greatly when I was going through the same prob, it also makes the phone reception sound better on both ends. you may have to call the phone company to check to see if they installed the lines right in the first place. Also if your phone has the ability to change channels you can keep switching channels until you find one that sounds better to you.

Uniden powermax x 2.4 ghz lost call

If it's in warranty, I would send it back. It sounds like a problem with the built-in amplifier and possibly other components.
The squealing and echo is down to gain being too high, if you cannot set this on the phone, then it's a fixed value in the hardware. If you can, lower the gain. As for not being able to end the call, what about pressing the "c" button or the green button again?
