Hi,
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Stuck in sleep mode

Hold the power button down until it is fully shutdown. Tap F8 when you are booting, select "Safe Mode With Networking". Download and install Malwarebytes and Superantispyware (Note: If you can't do the download on your machine, do it on a friend's, put them on a thumb drive, and install them from it). Then scan your computer with each program, and quarantine anything found.

What does starting in safe mode acconplish?

Booting in safe mode simply launches the operating system with minimal services enabled, usually no network availability, and a limited ability of usage, safe mode is used when diagnosing possible threats or for emergncy data access. In the event that the computer has stopped you from gaining access to it. A computer should never forcefully start in safe mode, it is an option usually selected on a black and white screen, start normally or start in safe mode, or start in safe mode with network. Hope this explains is a little better

Blue screen appears & keep restarting

It is possible that the malware is to blame, in which case a computer technician will need to sort it out.

I think it may be a bad memory module or loose memory module connection.

Take care!

How do you get to safe mode for toshiba

Debra,

There are a couple of methods to get to Safe Mode on a PC.

The first and established method of getting Safe Mode to pull up is to turn the computer off all of the way. Then turn the computer back on and immediately start tapping the F8 key on the keyboard. (Don't hold the key down, but instead press it over and over.) This should bring you to a Safe Mode menu to choose which option to boot into.

If you have pressed the F8 key and the computer still attempts to boot to regular windows, you can press and hold in the power button to turn the computer off and retry the F8 option.

The other, less established method of forcing a computer into safe mode is to turn the computer on, wait until you see the Windows logo start to load, and then press and hold in the power button to force a shutdown. Doing this twice in a row should result in the safe mode prompt on the third boot up attempt.

Hope this info helps!

My laptop get restart in an intervals or get hang ...

This will occur if the Windows files are Corrupted or Fragmented, the solution is to backup by logging in to Safe Mode. Please restart the computer and try pressing F8 Key to select Safe Mode. If the Safe Mode is working fine then please backup the data and Format the computer using the Window XP or the Operating System Disc which you have. If the Safe Mode is not working then use any Linux CD like Ubuntu (www.ubuntu.com) it's free! Then boot the CD to backup the data for any external Hard Drive or Pen Drive and format the Notebook using the appropriate Operating System Disc like Windows XP, Vista, or Windows 7.

I need to reset ... it will only go to a blue screen . Saying crash dump

To solve this issue boot your system to safe mode. Restart your computer and press F8 while booting a select Safe mode option. Once it logged in to safe mode, Go to start -> RUN and Type msconfig. So you will get a window. You need to click on START UP tab and search for DUMP or any files with DUMP phrase.Once you found it uncheck the entry and Click on APPLY and OK. Restart your system normally. Now you can see your system working fine. see the pic below
