Usually the Kindle comes pre-registered to the name used for purchasing it.

However, to register to a different name, open http://www.kindle.com on a PC. Log in using your existing Amazon account or create a new one, following the directions on the web page.

If your Kindle was not registered yet, you can add your device by clicking on "Register a new Kindle" and enter your serial number.

If the device is registered already, it should show up in the list displayed.

That's bad because they have lots of costumers. I think the company needs employee due to the continuous progress of the company. I am just wondering if Amazon will make it after taking the lead in cloud music without waiting to land licensing agreements from tunes labels. Amazon has gotten the jump on Google and Apple, who are in the midst of such negotiations. I read this here: Will Amazon Cloud Player get busted for driving without license?

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I lost my Kindle. How do I transfer my books from the Kindle App on my Android phone to my new Kindle? The App shows that they are in the cloud.

Hi, there is no need to try to transfer content from your Android Kindle App to your Kindle as all content that is stored in the Kindle Cloud can be downloaded directly to your new Kindle once it's registered. Even the content that is downloaded to your Android remains on the Kindle Cloud. To see if your new Kindle is registered, click here and log in to your Kindle account.

https://www.amazon.com/mycd

Click the Device tab. If your new Kindle isn't already registered, you should have the option to register it. Or, alternately, you can register your new Kindle using Menu and Settings on the Kindle itself.

Once your Kindle is registered you can simply touch *Cloud* on the Home screen when connected to Wifi or 3G and examine the list of books, etc. Touch the ones you wish to download to your device and they should start downloading where they will be stored for off-line reading.

To get a password

To get your books you have to first register your Kindle to your Kindle account. You can do this using a laptop or desktop to log onto your account. Then you can register your device. Or, you can try registering your device in Settings on your device provided you are connected to WiFI or Whisperssynch aka 3G.

While connected to WiFI or Whispersynch then you have to touch *Cloud*, locate the books you want downloaded to your Kindle and touch them. They should start downloading to your device and be downloaded within minutes or less.

I am unable to load new books onto my kindle

There are only three ways to load books onto your Kindle: (1) download them from Amazon via an account (using Wifi or 3G connection), (2) email them to your Kindle the unique email address for your Kindle which is assigned to you by Amazon at the time of registration, or (3) download the ebook file from a computer using the USB cable.

To email books to your Kindle or to download them via USB cable you must know the location of the ebook (which is typically a .MOBI file) and you must be computer-savvy enough to be able to either attach the ebook file to the email or to copy it to the 'document' folder of the USB connected Kindle.

How to register a new kindle using no wifi network?

As I understand it Amazon removed the capability to register the device on their website wanting you instead to do it through the device itself via wifi which apparently only takes a few a minute or two. If you do not have wifi at home you can probably go to a place like Starbucks and use their free wifi for the task.
Another option, if you have a computer, is go to the Amazon site and open a 'chat' session with one of their customer support people who may be able to help you with it from there.

My kindle wifi won't let me turn it on was working then just quit and now setting says off

Did you check your router is still working?
Are you sure it is still working correct?
To make sure it will work, just reset the WiFi router. If you can't find a reset button, just unplug the router for about half a minute. It will clear all tables, and I think after that it will work fine.
