I have a Cable ISP for my home desktop, and everything on there is fine, but my laptop has a wireless internet setup. Everytime i try to add a cable set-up, it says the system should already accept and/or run with a cable connection, and then cancels out of the internet wizard. is there any way to fix this so that I can go online with cable on my laptop? (without my Xp disc being needed, because it's "somewhere", just not sure where.)
You shouldn't have to run the setup wizard. You should be able to plug it in and click on internet explorer and it will connect. This is built into the operating system. If it doesn't do this, then you will need the disc to run a system repair.
