I got my vaio pcg3E2L formatted & loaded windows 7 now my webc am is not working as arc soft provide is now not there. Now how to fix it

if your pc currently had vista then a windows 7 recovery will not help. if you have a windows 7 key or vista you can format and start fresh providing the hard drive isn't what's corrupt or damaged.

I have a Dell Computer. I am not technically inclined, but have been receiving messages for months that my arc soft connect is having problems & do I want to report this to microsoft...I do this...


I'm assuming you want to uninstall the program. To do this open up your control panel and then follow the directions below.

(Vista and Windows 7) Look for Uninstall Program and then navigate through the list looking for programs made my Arcsoft.

(XP) Look for Add/Remove Programs and then find the program in the list and double click it. Follow the instructions on the screen.

Uninstall all the software and install the Arc soft of new version from the below link

As with Windows Vista and 7 the camera drivers are incorporated with the OS itself, I suggest that you install the Arc Soft Web Companion Software to resolve this issue.

Also, check in the Device Manager if the Imaging Device is listed or not, if no, install the following driver.

It is possible that the camera software is corrupted.

  1. go to programs and feature and uninstall the arcsoft webcam software
  2. download and install it from esupport.sony.com under software and drivers

Error loading operaiting system


if you get that error, then the operating system is corrupted..

  1. restart the computer
  2. when you see the VAIO logo on the screen, start pressing F10 key on top of the keyboard for 5-7 secs until you see windows is loading files or edit boot options
  3. if you see edit boot option, press enter
  4. it will load vaio recovery center
  5. from vaio reocvery center, select restore c: drive on the left side. (it will format the hdd. make sure to back up your files first before starting the recovery)

I have a sonyt vaio-cr120e and i installed windows 7 on it. When i did this i tried to update drivers but i couldn't find any for windows 7. Most stuff works with vista drivers but things such as the av...


Windows 7 requires the drivers be updated or at least compatible with Windows 7....so if Sony has not written the drivers for your machine yet, they probably won't and those devices will not work under Win-7.

If you call Sony's customer service or support line and complain to them, they may provide you with a work-around that will get them back operational again.
