Question about Frigidaire PLD2855RFC Dishwasher

1 Answer

We just bought a house with a unit that was never used. We plugged it in and the unit appears to not be receiving current as there are no lights or display on the front panel. The outlet is functioning with GFI. What else should we check?

Sorry to read about your problem, I hope this helps you out.

As a rule, dishwasher's are wired direct into the power, and are not plugged in.
2nd GFI's are not good for dishwasher's the motors like to trip them.

you can remove the lower panel and check the power, to the right. If you have the proper tools.

If you have power at the connection, under the machine, then you must have a defective control board.

I tried to help you. Please help me and Rate/Vote on my response. We take the time to answer your question. take the time to rate us.Thanks and good luck

Bought a denon ceol n8 , now when I turn it on it says updating, then update failed

I had the same problem.
Confirm that the receiver is linked by wire (I think that's best than Wireless) and reset the microprocessor (page 49 of the manual: Unplug the power; than, plug the power while pressing Volume UP and DOWN on the main unit; when the power indicator lights white, release the buttons - "Initialized" appears on the screen). When Quick Set up appears, run it to connect to the Network. After the network is connected, upgrade the firmware (see page 14 of the manual for that).
That worked fine for me.

Line fuse rating?

usually fuses have voltage and current ratings mark on them you just have to look for it or sometimes near the fuse housing.or you can use the formula power consumption of the unit divided by the voltage rating of the unit. I (amp) = Power(watts) divided by Voltage(110V) X power factor(PF). use 0.866 for PF

Blowing circut

Well with air conditioners, you need to plug them into a circuit in your house that you will not be using for anything else, whether that be lights, computer, etc... because portable a/c systems like that can take up to 15 amps which is what the average circuit is designed for. If you do have it as the only thing plugged into that circuit in your home, then it could be that the unit is going bad and is drawing too much current, or the electrical system in your house is not operating correctly. To which if it is either the unit or your electrical system and not just an overload of appliances, then you'll need to either get the a/c fixed or replaced, or have an electrician come out and check out the system.

But check to make sure you don't have anything else on that circuit of your house other then the a/c unit.

Charging doesn't display map when charging

I learned that with the unit off - hold the on button down - don't release it. A PRE-BOOT MODE message will appear at the bottom and may flash. Continue holding down the start button. The first time I did it a series of dots came on the screen and I was instructed to touch each one. After that it started as normal. I plugged into a wall charger and but git the pc and nuvi icons again. I repeated the process - holding the on button on and let the PRE-BOOT MODE appear and kept holding but this time a different message came on and then the PRE-BOOT MODE appeared again. I let it go and took the unit to my car and plugged it into the Garmin car charger and it worked as it used to - normal. However, when I plugged it back in the house to the wall charged I got the pc and nuvi icon again. It appears that I am using the wrong wall charger as a previous writes stated. But the nuvi still worked in the car plugged into the nuvi charger. I hope this helps.

Magellan 700

if it's the same plug that works with 700/760 then the plugs good. .if your trying to use one for an 800/860T then it's not good. yes it could be the cradle or anything inbetween your unit and the source.. Or.. if your hearing the smallest rattle.. then look for one of my solutions talking about U6.. a small chip that is common to come loose from the board from rubbing up against the rear housing.

Error screen trouble shooting

If you have the USB cable and a dvd/cd that contains the software/maps, then it needs to be loaded. Install the software on your computer. With the unit off, plug it into USB, then turn on unit. run program installed from dvd/cd. you can also try resetting the unit by holding down the Menu and Nav key, hopefully a small box appears and you can use the stiff stick to change the numbers. if this does appear, change the numbers to read 32 then press the stiff stick in (pressing enter). _Daniel
